2022 might just not be the year for Joe Rogan. The man has been in the hot seat throughout this entire year. One issue after another. It does not seem to stop.
The most recent thing to hit the internet’s plate about Joe Rogan isn’t really a controversy, but a lapse in his judgment while believing certain information.

Let’s cut to the chase. Rogan recently shared a post about the American actor, screenwriter, and martial artist Steven Seagal. The post underlined that Steven Seagal had joined Russia amidst the ongoing conflict.
Joe Rogan’s stance on the issue
Rogan, who has now deleted his previous post about Steven Seagal, took to Instagram once more to clearly explain himself in this situation.

“I deleted my earlier post about Steven Seagal being in Ukraine because it was parody, which isn’t surprising, but honestly it wouldn’t be surprising if it was true either. He was banned from Ukraine in 2017 because he was labeled as a national security threat. I, like all of you hope the tragic situation is resolved there quickly.” Said Rogan in his recent Instagram post.
As much as Rogan can explain himself, like every other celebrity who’s had a slip of words or actions on the internet, the damage was already done.

Joe Rogan accused of spreading misinformation
The post that included Steven Seagal joining Russian forces was an internet parody which most people, including Rogan, fell for. A normal individual sharing that post would just receive a few messages of correction. But not for Rogan.

Rogan was met by widespread backlash regarding his post. However, this isn’t the first time he’s been accused of spreading misinformation, though, as there have been a few other instances on his show, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the most popular podcast in the United States.
