Grappling superstar Craig Jones has been making waves lately for all the right reasons. Jones is currently planning for a massive $1 million jiu-jitsu tournament known as ‘The Craig Jones Invitational.’ The event will take place on August 16 and August 17 in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack Center. This is the exact venue that previously hosted the ADCC event.

One of the biggest reasons for starting the event is the lack of pay for the fighters. According to Jones, the fighters get paid very little at the ADCC event. However, the CJI would provide all 32 participants with $10,001 each, just to participate. Adding to that, the winner of the fight would be getting a $1 million winning prize. Another talking point of the event is the clash with ADCC.

ADCC will organize its event in September and is a direct competitor of CJI. The organization is already in a lot of trouble, as most of its fighters are moving away from it. One of their biggest stars, William Tackett, has already joined the CJI, which has caught the attention of most BJJ fans. Adding to the misery, a recent social media post reveals that Jones has finally appeared on the JRE podcast. The 32-year-old recently posted a photo on his Instagram story where he could be seen with a werewolf that looked like the one in Rogan’s studio.

The JRE podcast is one of the most followed podcasts in the world. Joe Rogan has always been a big fan of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and it seems he is helping Jones promote the event. This episode might not go well with Craig Jones’ rival, Gordon Ryan. The fans were quick to take notice of the situation in a recent post on Reddit and shared their opinion on the whole.

Fans go wild after Craig Jones’ rumored appearance at the JRE podcast

Most of us know that Joe Rogan has always been a fan of MMA. However, he has had a special liking for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and also holds a black belt in the sport. It now seems that he is working his way towards helping Craig Jones set up his new tournament. Fans seemed super excited to witness the latest collaboration and shared their opinion on the whole.

Talking about the final nail in the coffin, it seems the ADCC has lost its Midas touch. Most of its fighters are leaving the company and with Rogan promoting CJI, it seems it will attract more fighters shortly. A fan wrote, “Craig promoting CJI on Rogan might be the nail in the coffin for adcc honestly.”

ADCC is one of the most successful BJJ organizations and has worked its way to the top. However, one user feels it’s still the best, but CJJ can take over in the coming years, “I don’t know if it will be the nail in the coffin but you can’t get better exposure. I hope CJJ takes over but it’s gonna take time.” One user pointed out a stark difference between both organizations. It seemed he is a fan of ADCC and isn’t quite bothered about the new tournament taking place in August, “ADCC will still be here in 4 years. I don’t feel as confident saying that about CJI.”

The JRE host has always been an advocate of the sport and also knows a lot about the sport. One user pointed out the exact reason as to why he would want him to promote the sport. “Joe and Zuck are the top of my list donor candidates. Joe because he knows the sport so well and money to athletes is good. Zuck because it is a trivial amount of money and he is super into martial arts now.”

While most of the fans are supporting the CJI, there is one user who feels ADCC is here to stay. For most people who believe that CJI will take over, one user wants an honest answer. “Honestly asking, how? How is this in any way a nail in the coffin for ADCC? Because of exposure? ADCC is now ” in the coffin” because of exposure?,” wrote a Reddit user.

Gordon Ryan has always been a big fan of JRE host and with him hosting Craig Jones, it now seems that he is more inclined towards the latest sport, “That’d be funny if JRE sponsors CJI, Gordon’s always bragging about the JRE sponsor.”  Rogan has always been a fan of the sport and one of the users feels he will help the sport grow because of his knowledge of the sport. “Rogan loves the sport. i could see him donating to the cause.”

It will be interesting to see whether a podcast with Rogan will help the CJI. Do you think CJI can take over ADCC? Let us know in the comments below.
