The digital music streaming company embarked on a relationship with Rogan back in 2020 and bought exclusive rights to ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast for a whopping $200 Million. Now, as their initial agreement comes to an end, a new partnership between the same parties has bloomed.
As per reports, Rogan has signed a new multi-year deal with Spotify for $250 million and the company will not have exclusive rights to his content this time around. Witnessing this, American TV personality, Stephen A. Smith made his reaction to this news known.

To say Smith is a fan of this new deal would be an understatement. In a recent video on his YouTube channel, he dedicated a whole segment to discuss this new deal. In addition, he gave a unique and intriguing adjective to Rogan’s journey and that is, ‘The American way.’
Reflecting on the same, he said, “It’s not solely about venturing out into this world and extending beyond the corridors and restrictive lines of linear television. It’s also about winning, about profiting. That’s business; it’s the American way. Bet on yourself, take a chance, embrace the risk, adapt, adjust, succeed, conquer, and then flourish.”
Moreover, he is all praise for the host of JRE and thinks nobody is comparable to him. The NBA analyst added, “Somebody had to show the way, and nobody has done it better than Joe Rogan.” Indeed, Rogan has come a long way and in many ways is a pioneer of what a podcasting host can achieve. He said, “Joe Rogan has about damn near 20 million subscribers. Joe Rogan deserves every penny of that deal, and Joe Rogan, before anybody hates – and I’m not saying there’s a whole bunch of haters out there because there’s no reason to – but you never know. Joe Rogan deserves our respect.”
