Bud Light was once the top-selling beer in the US. However, after a failed advertising campaign trying to promote inclusivity, the beer company faced quite a lot of backlash from the public. This led to a lot of people boycotting the company. Among those people were American Rockstar, Kid Rock who was recently a guest on The Joe Rogan Experience.
In the JRE episode, Kid Rock, who was also knees-deep in boycotting Bud Light with his infamous video of him shooting cans of Bud Light beer, admitted to being at fault for boycotting the company. In the recent JRE podcast, the American singer revealed his interaction with the Anheuser Busch’s CEO.

At the JRE episode #2106, Kid Rock told Joe Rogan how he finally buried his beef with Bud Light. He told Rogan, “He’s a good dude, man. He’s a great guy, after five minutes of talking to him. I’m with Trump there and Dana’s greenroom, I go to Trump. I go, ‘See that dude behind me. That’s the CEO of Bud Light, Anheuser Busch’, and Trump’s like ‘You want to talk to him?’, which in my mind use, Trump said, ‘You want to go f*** with him?’ And I’m like, ‘Yes, absolutely’.”
The American then proceeds to tell Rogan how the two actually had “great conversations” with each other, even finding a middle ground in some of the similar interests they shared. Kid Rock even claimed that the CEO of Bud Light would be someone that he would actually enjoy hanging out with.
He went on to reveal the two of them meeting up in Nashville, saying, “And I’m like, ‘well come to Nashville. Come visit me.’ F**ing did. Came with his top team. F***ing we broke bread. got f*ed up on Bud Light f*ing bold. Like, did all this fun should we had a good meeting beforehand, trying to think if there’s something I could do with Anheuser Busch. And I just didn’t feel comfortable with it. I just threw out some ideas and scared the living F** out of him”
Bud Light actually sponsored the UFC for quite a long time before Modelo took over in 2017. But the UFC has resigned with Bud Light once again from January 1st, 2023.

Joe Rogan talks about the time he toured with Bud Light
Bud Light sponsored the UFC from 2008 to 2017, which could be a reason for why the beer company holds a special place for Rogan and the UFC. During the same podcast episode, he talked about the time when he toured with the beer company.
He said, “That would work, but they need to get back to, you know. Remember we used, they used to have those real men of genius ads. It was fun. Bud Light was fun. I did a tour with those guys, ‘The real men of Comedy’.”
