UFC 273 went down at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. In the main event of the pay-per-view, the featherweight champion took on ‘The Korean Zombie’ in his third title defense.
‘The Great’ looked good from the first round of the fight and landed heavy blows on his opponent. Meanwhile, ‘The Korean Zombie‘, as the name suggests, kept moving forward even after taking heavy shots.
However, referee Herb Dean had seen enough. Hence, he jumped in and stopped the fight in just 0:45 seconds of the fourth, handing Volkanovski his eleventh straight UFC win.
This victory marked Volkanovski’s third UFC successful title defense. Many notable names shared their thoughts on the fight. Meanwhile, the UFC commentator Rogan summarized it better than most.
