Joe Rogan Opens Up on One “Dumb” Thing He Dislikes About Elon Musk’s Tesla: “Porsche Knows How to Do It”

Joe Rogan has always been vocal about his love for cars. A true car aficionado, Rogan has an impressive collection of some of the coolest cars in his garage. From classic muscle cars to exotic supercars, his collection boasts a range of high-performance vehicles that any car enthusiast would be envious of.

Due to the growing popularity of electric cars, Tesla has become the latest trend among car enthusiasts, and Rogan is no exception. The JRE podcast host has a Tesla in his collection, thanks to his friendship with Elon Musk. Moreover, the 55-year-old has openly confessed his love for Musk’s cars, however, he has a complaint, too. During a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan shared a major inconvenience he faces with Tesla that makes him prefer regular cars.

Joe Rogan likes the steering wheels better

During the episode #1984 of JRE, Joe Rogan was joined by fellow comedian Brian Redban. The conversation between the two navigated itself towards cars from the initial minutes of the podcast. While discussing the subject, the UFC commentator talked about the importance of having Apple Carplay as an essential in the cars to avoid any mishaps on the road. Reflecting on that, Redban responded by saying that Tesla wouldn’t do that because they are under the impression that their technology is superior to Apple.

On that note, a disagreeing Joe Rogan stated, “They get some things right and some things really wrong.”

He further touched upon the real problem with Tesla. Rogan said, “Really wrong is… the stupid handle- the yoke. Oh it’s so dumb. It’s just no. No with the yoke. Give me the damn steering wheel.”

On a wholistic note, the 55-year-old complained, “Just for driving, for actually like turning and parking, it’s stupid- the yoke is stupid.” Furthermore, the UFC commentator compared the Tesla cars with Porsche and revealed the area in which the latter surpasses Elon Musk’s creation.

Rogan would pick Porsche’s buttons over Tesla’s screen any day

Joe Rogan has a discerning eye for quality and convenience when it comes to cars. Despite the advanced hi-tech features found in modern cars, Rogan couldn’t care less about them if they compromise his driving experience. During the podcast, the host complained about the complicated nature of many car interfaces, stating that, “In doing everything on the screen. It doesn’t make things simple, it makes things way more complicated… Physical buttons are better.”

Rogan praised the renowned luxury car brand Porsche for getting it right when it comes to that. “Porsche knows how to do it. Porsche’s got all the buttons. They figured it out. I looked at their interior. There’s a better interior… They’ve been doing cars forever.”
