Joe Rogan thinks the government is up to no good. Joe Rogan also likes to ponder about extra-terrestrial life forms. But what if you put the government and aliens in the same conversation? Well, then you’ve got a perfect, classic JRE discussion. Depending on what side of his bed he wakes up on, it’s either, “Aliens are spying on us”, or, “This is some trickery by the government.” Between November and December 2024, there were reports of certain “large unidentified drones” along the East Coast across multiple counties in New Jersey. And when that news was making the rounds, Rogan didn’t miss a beat.

When Rogan was younger, the idea of us being visited by extraterrestrial life forms seemed like a fantasy worth indulging in. But now that he’s gotten old (and possibly wise?), has his firm conviction in aliens having visited us in UFOs been somewhat shaken?

“They’re [UFOs are] everywhere. I don’t know what to think. Some days I think they’re all—that we’re being visited. And some days I think it’s all the government—it’s all bullsh*t, it’s all drones,” Rogan told former NFL superstar Antonio Brown on episode #2286 of the JRE podcast.

UFO (or UAP—unidentified aerial phenomenon—as they are now called) sightings, or the cheeky government playing mind games? Or could it be both? Clearly, Rogan is on the fence about aliens having visited us. But he was sure that the government, which he believes is up to no good, does send out some secret agents to deal with people who talk too much about UFOs and alien abductions to shut them up.

But that’s not all. When Brown mentioned men in black suits visiting people who allegedly had some sort of contact with a UAP or extra-terrestrials, Joe Rogan got ecstatic and responded to it in exactly the way you’d think he would. “The men and black I think are real. I think that’s government agents that come visit you after you’ve had some sort of an experience, maybe. I think that’s what it is.”

“I mean there’s always been these stories of men in black coming to visit people after they’ve had encounters. I mean, it makes sense. If you’re yapping about something, especially if it’s actually something [that the] government, they’re working on,”, he added. But what really took the cake was the UFC commentator’s opinion on how these agents delete people’s memories.

Joe Rogan’s hilarious take on how the real-life Men In Black wipe people’s memories

In the fictional Men In Black movie franchise starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, they indeed are government agents, whose job is to make cover-up incidents involving extra-terrestrials. To make witnesses forget their memories involving aliens, the MIB famously uses a handheld device called the ‘Neuralyzer’, which wipes people’s memories after a metaphorical and literal flash.

What’s your perspective on:

Are UFO sightings just government tricks, or are aliens really keeping tabs on us?

Have an interesting take?

But Rogan thinks that the real-life men in black use far more complex ways to wipe witnesses’ memories. “And then, you know, two men in suits come up… And they tell you ‘Hey Antonio we’d like to talk to you about your encounter’. And then you’re like ‘Oh I’m in trouble!’ And then they’re doing some hypnosis on you and some mind control, you know,” a wide-eyed Rogan told ‘AB’.

Between the existence of intelligent alien life who have visited Earth at some point in time and government agents, who can delete your memories, which one is more plausible? There’s no evidence that aliens haven’t visited us, and the government holds some pretty well-guarded secrets too. Whatever the case may be, we’ll probably never hear the end of it as long as Joe Rogan walks among us.
