The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the biggest sports podcasts and millions of people listen to each episode. Its host is one of the most popular faces on TV and his popularity transcends beyond combat sports. He juggles between his jobs as a UFC commentator and a stand-up comic.

In a recent JRE episode #1868, Rogan shared the mic with Sam Morril. Morril is a man of many talents and works as a stand-up comic, writer, and actor. Fans can also recognize him as the co-host of a sports podcast-‘Games with Names’.

While the duo touched upon various issues, like the struggles of Woody Allen, the genius of Bill Hicks, and Joe’s gambling in sports. On the same podcast, the UFC color commentator mentioned how he used to bet on UFC.

What did Joe Rogan say?

The former ‘Fear Factor’ host was talking about betting on UFC and his own personal experience. He admitted that he used to bet on it even while he was a part of the company and was commentating.

Rogan said, “I used to bet on UFC even while I was commentating.

Although betting is legal in UFC, he continues further and claims that “I bet on it early on. I’m like, this is probably not legal.”

The 55-year-old burst out laughing while making this statement and further revealed an astounding claim. He claimed, “One of my business partner for Onnit, Aubrey, he would come to the fights and he would gamble. So when I stopped gambling I would just say bet. We were at like 84 percent success rate.”

Rogan is the co-founder of the supplements and fitness company, Onnit along with Aubrey Marcus. Afterward, Unilever in 2021 acquired Onnit.

Any layperson would take this exceptionally highly successful betting as a rare phenomenon. And in another case, some might approach Rogan for some betting tips.

The American added further, “It was so crazy because I was always, I was talking to these guys that were coming from Japan and the matchmakers might have known about them but the bookmakers didn’t.”

The UFC color commentator further stated, “So they had lines like totally off… And so there were certain fights, I would go, I don’t know about that one, I want to but that one. Bet the f*****g house on the Brazilian guy.”

Joe Rogan’s Fear Factor days

The UFC commentator wasn’t that well-known when the opportunity to host ‘Fear Factor’ came knocking on his door. Since then, Joe Rogan hasn’t looked back.
