Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis are going to face each other at UFC 297 for the middleweight title. However, the two UFC fighters could not wait till January, and decided to throw hands at UFC 296! Moments after appearing on camera, things between Strickland and Du Plessis got intense!

New footage, that UFC commentators Joe Rogan and Jon Anik mentioned, revealed that the two MMA stars first had some verbal exchanges. Soon, Strickland requested people sitting beside him to move, so he could reach his UFC 297 opponent! All of a sudden, the UFC middleweight champion initiated the brawl.

Soon, the two had to be separated by security. Moreover, UFC CEO Dana White and Anik had to intervene and restore order. Also, according to the UFC 296 commentators, Strickland was eventually escorted out of the arena.

UFC 296 had a star studded list of attendees. Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg was one of them. According to sources, when the brawl took place, Wahlberg was in the washroom, away from the scene.

However, as soon as he returned, the popular actor had an interesting claim to make. “I would’ve stopped it if I was there”, he said. Most probably, Mark Wahlberg said this with a touch of humor and sarcasm.
