Remarkably, JRE made Spotify’s Most Popular Podcasts list in 2022, along with highly celebrated artists.
The popular streaming platform’s annual year-end tradition of releasing users’ compilation of their activity continued for the 7th year straight. This year’s Spotify Wrapped, like its previous releases, awarded the users a reason to laugh and offer an insight into their streaming habits.
Joe Rogan tops Spotify’s most popular podcasts list
Notably, the data gives a sneak peek into not only users but also the producers’ streaming numbers. JRE podcast, which acts as a staple source of entertainment, topped Spotify’s Most Popular Podcasts list, both globally and U.S.’s Top list.
Rogan‘s popular podcast also held the No. 1 spot on Spotify in 2021 and 2020, when JRE became exclusive to the platform. According to NY Times, the deal between Joe Rogan and Spotify is worth $200 million, which will end in 2023.
Another Spotify exclusive, Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’, claimed the second spot on the list. Emma Chamberlain’s podcast ‘Anything Goes’ claimed the third spot, followed by the Spotify Original series Caso 63. Ashley Flowers’ Crime Junkie which held the final and 5th spot in the list.

Notably, the viral marketing gimmick by Spotify started in 2016 and further allowed users to share the data on their social media handles. Thereby attracting promotion to the Swedish company.
Taylor Swift, Drake, Harry Styles, and Bad Bunny- the achievers on the list

In other categories, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny claimed the honor of the most-streamed artist globally for the third year in a row. Also, his album, Un Verano Sin Ti, became the most streamed album of the year.
In addition, Taylor Swift became the most viral artist globally. Similarly, the British artist Harry Styles’ song ‘As It Was’ made waves globally and became the most streamed song.

Lastly, Drake collected the honor of the U.S. most streamed artist.
