Dan Hooker is looking like he’s on fire, showcasing a memorable performance in yet another grueling bout. He added another win, making it three wins in a row, after edging past Mateusz Gamrot with a split decision victory. As usual, Joe Rogan, who doesn’t travel to other countries for PPV events anymore, reacted to this fight and seemed very impressed with Hooker’s performance.
Joe Rogan was very impressed with what he saw from Dan Hooker. “What a fight! [claps]… Hooker had Gamrot rocked and dropped,” said the JRE host on the ‘JRE Fight Companion’ live. If we look at the damage, ‘The Hangman’ appeared to have taken the brunt of it, given that he had a lot of cuts and bruises on his face compared to Mateusz Gamrot. However, Hooker carried on with the same energy throughout the three rounds.
“Gamrot did take him down and f***ed him up in the first round, but when Hooker was hitting him, it was more significant,” Joe Rogan further stated. “There were more significant moments when he [Gamrot] is in real trouble. And then also, when Gamrot did shoot the takedowns, his neck was in trouble, he had to bail on things.”

Dan Hooker calls for a Conor McGregor fight as Israel Adesanya rejoices in his UFC 305 win
Of course, Dan Hooker wants a title fight. However, he’s ready to go through a title eliminator fight, and the reception he got from the Perth crowd could see him fighting Arman Tsarukyan at some point, but then again, that’s just a guess. Meanwhile, he’s also calling for a fight against ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor, whose fight against Michael Chandler looks more uncertain than ever.
“I want them all brother. I want the BMF, I want Conor McGregor, I want a title eliminator, I want everything brotha!” Things look very uncertain when it comes to McGregor, but it may not be too long before we see Hooker getting a chance to not only fight for the title but also avenge his loss against Islam Makhachev.
