Joe Rogan does not shy away from inviting guests from all walks of life on his podcast. In his recent most episode, he sat down with American comedian, Bobby Lee. Both of them are stand-up comedians and podcast hosts. An episode featuring them was inevitable and one might even argue it took longer than expected. According to Lee, he did not know how he could contact the host of JRE and made it known at the commencement of the episode.
In response, Rogan revealed how he managed to invite his guests and while clarifying, he hinted at having American Comedian and actor, Katt Williams on the show. The mere name of Williams has ignited polarizing opinions for the past week but it appears Rogan is not too bothered by it.

Williams is an outspoken individual, to say the least. In his infamous interview with Club Shay Shay, he made some controversial remarks about Kanye West and his ex-wife, Kim Kadarshian. His comments attracted criticism and scrutiny. Nevertheless, Rogan while crediting his co-worker, hinted that he might have reached out to Willams for a podcast.
He stated, “You can call me. This whole thing is literally booked on my phone. I have a guy, um, shout out to my man Matt, who I contact when I want someone to get, like if I want to reach out to Kat Williams or something like that, like reach out to this guy, try to get him on, and that’s it, and it gets all booked on my phone.”
It bears mention that Rogan did not explicitly state that he will have Willams on the show. However, it could very well be a possibility, which just goes to show that he is willing to give everyone a platform—notwithstanding public opinion. But on what basis does he invite his guests?

Rogan reveals his criteria for selecting his guests
For the host of JRE, he wants the guest and the subject matter of discussion to interest him. If someone intrigues him, he does not shy away from reaching out to them himself. “It’s pretty far and advanced. Most of the time is that it’s booked and it’s all booked on my interests,” said Rogan. “So it’s 100% what I’m interested in. It’s like all I do is look at the potential. Sometimes I reach out to people.”
