Dana White is the UFC head honcho. Joe Rogan is the color commentator and the famous podcaster. Now that we have that part cleared out, let’s talk about the fact that many people don’t. And that’s okay according to Joe Rogan who recently had a laugh about a similar goof-up.
One can see why the two could be confused as being one another. The two have been associated with the UFC for a very long time now. While White has been at the helm for long, Rogan has been one of its most outspoken promoters. So, what’s it like to know the difference?

Joe Rogan recently appeared on a new episode of his podcast, the JRE MMA Show #154 was a laughter riot for many reasons. One of them was because Rogan and the gang discussed Dana White’s embarrassing moment as he sat for Sage Steele’s podcast.
The UFC CEO was mistaken for being Joe Rogan and addressed as so. The clip became instantly famous and it was all anyone could talk about. It’s all anyone can still talk about. Here’s Rogan’s perspective on the whole situation as a podcaster himself.
“People call me Dana, I’ve been called Dana before . . . I think she just made a mental flub. When you’re doing a podcast and you’re interviewing someone especially if you haven’t done a lot of them and it’s like high profile thing, you’re doing Dana White. You’re always thinking of what to say. . .”
Joe Rogan also admitted that the podcast host handled the situation really well quickly admitting her mistake and letting it stay on the released episode instead of editing it out. “She handled it the right way, too. She kept it in there. She didn’t edit it out. It’s funny. It’s just a flub. I’ve done it all the time. It happens. People f*** up.” In the same conversation, yet another interesting incident came up.

Din Thomas is a former UFC fighter who last fought in the promotion’s cage back in 2008. Since then, he has stepped away from the Octagon but he can’t escape the one moment where he too, was mistaken for being someone else. Just like Joe Rogan and Dana White.
Thomas revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former lightweight champion, once told him that he defeated one of Nurmagomedov’s teammates. A confused Thomas couldn’t understand a word of it all until Nurmagomedov revealed that the teammate was Josh Thomson.
