The Joe Rogan Experience, hosted by UFC commentator Joe Rogan, has been one of the most popular podcasts over the last decade. The podcast hosts plenty of people from all paths of life holding pretty intriguing conversations. Rogan signed a multi-million-dollar exclusive deal with Spotify and has been at the top of the charts for quite a while.

Though there are plenty of podcasts on Spotify, none have ever come close to reaching the viewership JRE generates. Fans absolutely love the bizarre conversations and stories that get held in the podcast. Sometimes, maybe even garnering a little controversy. But no podcast ever took its spot at the top; until now.

Spotify has recently signed contracts with popular podcasts. One such is Trevor Noah’s latest. The ‘What Now?’ podcast featured Dwayne Johnson, which garnered loads of attention. The debut episode was so popular that it dethroned ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, claiming the top spot in the Spotify podcast charts.

The hype surrounding Noah’s podcast with a global superstar like Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson certainly had what it took to secure the top spot in the charts. Trevor Noah is an exciting host and it won’t be surprising if ‘JRE’ faces really tough competition in the future.

But it isn’t a new thing for podcast channels in the Spotify Podcast Charts to keep changing spots. So it won’t be surprising if Rogan’s podcast climbs up to the 1st spot again.

The Joe Rogan Experience has been a fan favorite for almost a decade now. So it isn’t really surprising to see Rogan and his podcast do well with Spotify. His podcast has stayed at the top, not only for Rogan but also for the flexibility of guests he brings onto the show.

Fans believe that Joe Rogan will ultimately regain the top position in the charts, as the hype behind Noah’s podcast will eventually die down. But we can’t really say that for certain, as the ‘What Now’ podcast is relatively new to Spotify and no one can say what it’ll bring to the table.

Spotify might make deals with more podcasters in the future. But would that really affect the ratings of JRE? As far as we know, JRE has a very loyal fan base and has lasted for quite some time.
