In February 2024, the JRE returned to YouTube and other platforms like Apple Podcasts after a 3-year hiatus. According to reports available online, the podcast would be no longer exclusive to Spotify under the new agreement. And Spotify will manage ad sales for Rogan’s show, which consistently tops the charts on the platform.

Therefore, in a subsequent post on X, Joe Rogan stated that “…officially back on @apple we should be back on @youtube with full episodes in the coming weeks. Shoutout to @spotify for absolutely being the coolest and smartest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being in partnership with. I’m very excited the podcast will now have a much broader distribution.”

His remarks underscored the new reach of the show, as according to the latest update shared on X by Jed I. Goodman, “Top podcasts on Spotify this week. (US) 1. The Joe Rogan Experience”. This renewed visibility reflects the success of the new terms of the Spotify contract, allowing the JRE to reach a broader audience and attract more listeners.

And in another statement made to Spotify at the time of the announcement of the new deal, Rogan had exclaimed, “I stumbled into this fantastic accidental education just by being interested in talking to people, and being fortunate enough that people want to listen.”

Therefore, as the JRE continues to thrive across various platforms, Rogan’s commitment to engaging conversations and diverse guests remains a driving force behind its enduring appeal on multiple platforms!

But with the increased visibility also comes the consequences of making statements that may come back to haunt you. Rogan recently had mud on his face after his claims about Francis Ngannou’s boxing skills came to light.

Rogan’s proclamation about Francis Ngannou draws laughter from boxing executive

Social media erupted when ‘Showtime’s former president, Stephen Espinoza, recently reacted to an old clip of Joe Rogan’s prediction about Francis Ngannou’s boxing potential. Ngannou caused a storm when he lost a close-fought decision against Tyson Fury last year. Moreover, he had even dropped the boxing champion at one point in their fight. As such, Rogan had stated on an episode of the JRE, “And I think he might be able to beat them all. I think he’s that good. I think he’s that much of a freak.”

But with Ngannou’s knockout defeat at the hands of Anthony Joshua dampened the UFC commentator’s claims. Rogan’s remarks drew a ‘crying laughing emoji’ response from Espinoza. The interaction highlighted the dangers of how quickly things can change in the world of combat sports. Moreover, it also highlighted the side-effect of Rogan’s massive platform having unintended consequences for his statements!
