President Joe Biden, on July 21, announced on X that he won’t be pursuing a re-election. The 81-year-old, before bidding adieu, also endorsed his current Vice President, Kamala Harris, to be the Democratic Party nominee for the upcoming presidential elections. However, a final decision regarding that will be made at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) next month. While Biden’s announcement may or may not have surprised many (given the hate he has been receiving), UFC commentator Joe Rogan seemingly saw it coming months ago.
In one of the old episodes (#2069) of his JRE podcast, aired in November 2023, Rogan predicted that Biden might not run for the second term. He wondered if the president would even complete his current term. President Biden, however, has since divulged, “I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term.” Let’s dive into what Rogan had to say!
As many are aware, the color commentator’s podcast has grasped a steady audience with a superabundance of topics in discussion with guests from several walks of life. The Hill shared a clip from the November episode of his podcast, wherein Rogan was in with Dr. Shawn Baker (a physician, athlete, and author of The Carnivore Diet), speaking in his typical nonchalant style about his stance on the current presiding VP, Kamala Harris.

“Look, if Biden died tomorrow, what would they do with Kamala Harris? Like, what are they gonna do? She is the Vice President. So if he dies, she becomes the President,” Rogan said. Dr. Baker, the guest on the show, chimed in with another hypothetical scenario (which has now come true): “What if Biden says, ‘I don’t know… I am not feeling up to it. Kamala Harris is now the new President. She is the first female President. And then she steps down at the convention (DNC).'”
Joe Rogan did not rule out the possibility, but he pressed that not nominating Harris for the next election if Biden Pulled out would make her supporters unhappy. Responding to the hypothetical scenario, the 56-year-old said, “That would be possible, but it would be a real problem for the people who are Kamala Harris supporters, and believe it or not, they exist.”
With Joe Biden dropping his re-election bid, Kamala Harris is currently one of the names in contention for being the Democrats’ nominee, but there is no certainty about it. However, President Biden did vouch for her. “My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year,” he wrote in his X post.

The Republicans, meanwhile, are going all in with Donald Trump as their nominee. Speaking of the former POTUS, in the latest episode of JRE, Rogan discussed the assassination attempt carried out on Trump during his Pennsylvania rally.

Joe Rogan talks about the failed assassination attempt at Pennsylvania rally
Rogan invited American comedian Sam Morril to JRE episode #2178. While discussing the Trump assassination attempt, Morril pointed out that his uncle felt the attack might have been staged. But, Rogan was quick to refute the claims: “I don’t think it’s not real.” Stressing that he didn’t want to draw any conclusions and was keeping all angles open, Rogan added, “Look, here’s the deal. I’m not accusing anybody of anything, just want to be real clear. But they have organized assassinations before. Sure. And when they organize assassinations, it looks just like that.”
The JRE host has also previously quoted (JRE #2176) how the entire situation was so uncanny that he even claimed he felt like he was “in a simulation” while comparing the political scenario of the USA to a TV show with a twisted plot, and even “villains” and “bumbling fools.” This was concerning how the Trump Assassination attempt saw a lot of fumbles from the Secret Service personnel, especially when an agent struggled to holster her weapon.

To Rogan, she seemed a little too suspicious: “It looks like an actress… If you were going to have a bumbling person in a movie, like almost a comedy of errors. You want Secret Service cool, calm, collected… You don’t want to see any of this squirrely trying to put the g*n back in. It seems fake.” Rogan seems to have been echoing the thoughts of billionaire mogul Elon Musk as he reaffirmed his stance, “Elon Musk said that the odds of us not being in the simulation are in the billions. He believes wholeheartedly that we’re in a simulation.”
Like many, Joe Rogan is also in disbelief about what happened at Trump’s rally, but he is in no hurry to reach any conclusion. But what are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments!
