The Power Slap League has consistently made headlines since its formation in January. While the visuals of the sport may be quite disturbing it has already gathered a lot of attention on social media. Many former MMA fighters and medical professionals have criticized the sport for safety reasons of the athletes as well.

There have been instances in the past where the participants have been knocked out completely and even suffered injuries. During his latest podcast, Rogan also pointed out as to how devastating a slap on the face can be.

The 56-year-old while speaking to Dye said: ” Like you have seen slap fighting. They get slapped unconscious. Just a slap. They are ready for it. They are like professional slappers. I watch those f…ng clips. I am one of those idiots. One of the dudes were like what are you going to do with the money. I will get my wife some new t…s.

While the UFC is scaling new heights in the world of sports, UFC CEO Dana White’s new venture is failing to make much impact. However, the JRE host feels with the popularity of the UFC the organization can introduce a new sport along with MMA. Although power slap does have its own place in Social Media, Rogan vouchs for a real sport.

Joe Rogan in one of his podcasts while speaking to Jorge Masvidal engaged in a riveting conversation. The pair discussed a variety of things including sports, fights, and many more. During the conversation, Rogan said: “Think about what the UFC has done with the slap fighting[Power Slap]. Which is not really my thing. But Muay Thai, I feel like is more marketable. You get like elite Joe Schilling type strikers, and have like [what] Glory did. Glory is wild. I f**king love Glory.

He also added: “I just don’t understand why it didn’t become more popular. And the only thing that makes sense to me was, it wasn’t promoted correctly. But if you got a big promotion like the UFC’s promotion machine, behind world-class kickboxing, I think it could be as big as MMA.”

The 56-year-old sees a whole new avenue for the sport of kickboxing and wants the UFC to invest in it. However, the possibility of such a thing happening can never be predicted.
