The podcaster has been in the entertainment industry for a long time now and his podcast is what made him a well-known figure around the world. The 56-year-old started endeavoring podcasting back in 2009 and fast forwarding today, it is the world’s most-loved Podcast.
Rogan podcast is nothing less than a chicken who lays golden eggs. However, Rogan’s journey to glory was not easy and it didn’t start in 2009. In his latest episode of ‘JRE’ #2116, Kevin James confessed about starting ‘JRE’ years before its inception.

“The Joe Rogan Experience” is arguably one of ͏the most well-known and beloved podcasts worldwide. When Rogan started the podcas͏t, he never imagined witnessing a day when ‘JRE’ would reach a $250 million valuatio͏n. Yet, here we are in 2024, with all his dreams coming true. Interestingly, Rogan has been topping the charts for a long time now.
However, the journey to the top for ‘JRE ‘ started way back in the 90s. In his latest confession, Rogan and James admitted that they started the ‘JRE’ as a comedy back in the 1990s. “When we first started, by the way, we did the Joe Rogan experience 30 years ago, right? Just wasn’t millions of people, not exactly. I remember Susman brought you into the town. You started; it was in Nick’s. Was it Nick’s? said James.
Rogan responded to James by stating that he started his comedy career in Stitches, “I started at stitches in Boston I was like two years in when I met you and then I think we met at East Side which was awesome what a great club shout-out to richer manini.” Their conversation took them into a trance of nostalgia. At the end of the conversation, Rogan had one thing to say “The golden age of comedy at the time 1990. oh my god it was incredible back then”
The old friends relived a bit of nostalgia in their conversation. Additionally, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ has again topped the American charts on the Spotify weekly list.

‘JRE’ continues its dream run on the charts
In 2024, Joe Rogan experienced significant͏ changes. The exclusive podcast deal ͏with Spotify lapsed, leading to ͏a new and improved agreement. This time, Rogan was in control, steering the negotiations to secure a better deal. The new deal with Spotify was worth a massive $ 250 million. In addition to the increased value, Rogan also mentioned that the podcast will now be returning to YouTube and Apple podcast after 3 years of hiatus.
This deal seems to have paid off for the music streaming app as Joe Rogan has retained his post as the most viewed Podcast in the US weekly charts. Rogan’s dedication to hosting diverse guest͏s and fosterin͏g engaging conversations continues to be a key ͏factor in the sustained popularity of the JRE across various platforms.
