“He’s a super genius that’s been f—ed with.” That’s Joe Rogan’s take on Elon Musk—and if he’s right, the “Arrest Elon Musk” protests might not be as grassroots as they appear. The UFC commentator and the tech titan’s close friend suggests that these demonstrations aren’t just spontaneous expressions of public outrage, but rather carefully orchestrated movements, backed by powerful interests with a larger agenda. What if the protests filling the streets aren’t as spontaneous as they seem? What if they’re being strategically planned, funded, and mobilized to serve a deeper purpose?
On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, he didn’t hold back, calling these protests anything but organic. “Listen, I guarantee it’s organized,” Rogan told guest Bridget Phetasy in episode #2270. “It’s organized by the same people that are going to lose a sh-tload of money based on all these discoveries at DOGE.” He wasn’t just making vague accusations, he laid it all out. So, according to Rogan, Musk’s efforts with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) have been cutting off the money flow for certain groups that have long benefited from government spending. And now, they’re fighting back.
“They organized the attempt at getting Trump impeached,” Rogan continued. “They also spent, USA spent, fifty million dollars on the lab that invented coronavirus. There’s a lot of money involved in this not working.” His point? When there’s money at stake, powerful players aren’t just going to sit back and let it happen. “When you have a lot of money involved, you’re gonna have organized protests,” he emphasized.

But Phetasy pushed back slightly, wondering if the average liberal might ever wake up to what’s going on. “Or,” she asked, “are they just going to be in agony for four years wondering… what if this works? What if the world actually gets safer?” It’s a thought-provoking question. If Musk’s reforms actually deliver results, will public perception shift, or will the outrage machine keep running?

Is Musk’s reform a necessary cleanup or a dangerous overreach?
Beyond Rogan’s take, the controversy surrounding Musk’s role in DOGE is real and growing. The Department of Government Efficiency, a Trump-era initiative designed to cut government waste, has led to some drastic changes under the tech genius’ leadership. Further, according to The Economic Times, Musk’s DOGE has already slashed billions in federal contracts.
This includes eliminating 89 contracts worth over $881 million within the Department of Education and shutting down diversity, equity, and inclusion programs valued at over $100 million. Some see this as a much-needed move to curb unnecessary spending, while others argue it’s reckless and lacks proper oversight. The backlash has been intense.

Critics claim the billionaire has been given too much power without enough checks and balances, while his supporters see him as a reformer cleaning house. Legal battles have already stalled some of DOGE’s actions, but Musk and his team show no signs of slowing down. Next on their list? The Pentagon, where they plan to scrutinize alleged inefficiencies and bloated defense spending.
President Trump has thrown his full support behind Musk’s efforts, even granting him expanded authority to fire non-essential federal employees and shut down certain agencies. And, the executive order, while excluding national security and law enforcement positions, marks one of the most aggressive moves toward governmental reform in recent history. So, What do you think?
