Joe Rogan recently claimed he might just force his wife to wear the wedding ring. The 56-year-old recently released the #2100 episode of his JRE podcast. This time, Rogan invited Steven Rinella and Cameron Hanes for a chat on the show. Rogan is known for his ability to bring about a variety of topics in his discussion, and this time around he talked about his wedding ring.

The 56-year-old claimed Cody Garbrandt once gifted him a piece of jewelry made of pure gold. However, he claims that he was hesitant about wearing that jewelry, but, ironically, he makes sure his wife wears the wedding ring. Let’s look into this funny story.

Joe Rogan started the episode by asking Cameron Hanes to explain the ‘ridiculous thing’ he was wearing around his neck – a locket. Hanes a master bowhunter, an elite athlete, and also the host of the podcast ‘Keep Hammering with Cameron Hanes,’ explained how the locket was a mold of a bear claw from one of his hunts. This locket, he said, was made out of pure gold. Additionally, it had rubies and black diamonds and the gold was ‘reclaimed gold.’ Then Rogan chimed in with some interesting takes.

The JRE host spoke of a chain he owned, saying, “Cody Garbrandt gave me one that has my dog’s face on one side and the other side has the JRE logo. I’m like either one of them is too weird for me. It’s solid gold. Yeah, it’s so ridiculous.”

The conversation then shifted to wedding rings. Rogan then asked Steven Rinella if he owned any jewelry. Rogan’s guest made it clear how he didn’t wear even his wedding ring anymore. He added that his wife never wore it that often either. To this, Rogan jokingly replied, “I’d yell at my wife (if she didn’t wear her wedding ring).’ Where the f..k you going? Put that leash on.”

Joe Rogan is one of those few celebrities who doesn’t like wearing jewelry. Such is his disinterest that he even gives away his gifts to his wife. But why does Rogan avoid wearing jewelry so much?

We now know that Rogan has a general disinterest in jewelry, but there’s more to why he avoids Cody Garbrandt’s gift to him. Garbrandt is a bit of a style icon among UFC fighters. His tattoos, suits, and hairstyle all define his taste. So when he decided to gift Rogan a piece of jewelry, it was not much of a surprise. However, the surprising part was the UFC color commentator’s hesitancy in wearing it.

Rogan cleared the air regarding the whole situation while speaking to Tony Hinchcliffe at the JRE #2081 episode. During the podcast, the 56-year-old mentioned how he was afraid of the Italian within him. For those unaware, Rogan is of Irish and Italian descent.

Rogan said, “Cody Garbrandt gave me a gold chain that his jeweler made, and on one side is my face, and on the other side is my dog’s face,”. He was then enquired by Hinchcliffe whether he wore the chain to which Rogan replied: “No, I’m afraid to ignite the Italian in me. I’m afraid to start wearing gold chains and sh*t, pinky rings. I don’t want to ignite that part of me,”.
