Fans of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ must be familiar with ‘Young Jamie.’ Jamie Vernon, a.k.a ‘Young Jamie’ is the producer of the podcast who does a lot of the heavy lifting behind JRE. Familiar to the fans of the podcast, Rogan often interacts with Vernon during the podcast but the latter remains off-screen. He also looks up and provides material from the internet at Rogan’s behest- a gesture that has become a signature move in JRE over the years. Recently, Rogan surrendered an interesting fact about his right hand on the podcast, during one of the episodes.

In episode #1991 of JRE, Rogan hosted his stand-up comic friends Ari Schaffir, Mark Normand, and Shane Gillis. titled ‘Protect Our Parks 8’ the episode had Rogan and his friend dishing out on many subjects. At one point they discussed alcohol and marijuana and Joe Rogan made a revelation about his JRE companion.

What did Joe Rogan say about ‘Young Jamie’?

As Joe Rogan and his guests went on with their conversation, they came up on the subject of alcohol and drug consumption. The group was discussing the effect a person’s body mass index could have on the amount of substance required to get them inebriated.

During the conversation, Ari Schaffir asked, “You ever meet a guy who can’t get high?” Rogan responded, “Jamie can’t get high off edibles. Jamie has this crazy thing where he can eat like a 1000 mg.”

After the surprised reaction from Schaffir and the others, Vernon said, “To say I didn’t feel a thing off of that, that’s a stretch. But, I didn’t feel it the way it’s supposed to feel.”

‘That’s f***ed up,” said Rogan.

Rogan and Jamie Vernon’s relationship is almost a decade old now. Since joining JRE, Vernon has stepped up to the plate and earned commendations from many notable figures.

Jamie Vernon joined JRE in 2013 as an assistant. Back then the show’s producer was the co-host Brian Redban. After Redban left, Vernon took over. His efforts are largely responsible for the massive success that JRE  has had since then.
