Joe Rogan has often amused his audience with his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. After all, he tackles numerous topics and invites guests from every single background. Be it science, sports, or entertainment, the JRE host has talked about it all. However, there are some episodes of the most loved podcast, that the netizens didn’t seem to like. Episode #2193 was one such chapter in the book of JRE.

On the 22nd of August, the beloved UFC color commentator invited Jake Symes to the studio. The description on YouTube excited the JRE fans with an elaborate introduction of the guest. The words lifted Symes as a public philosopher, writer, podcaster, and editor of the ‘Talking About Philosophy’ series. On top of that, he is also a researcher at Durham University.

Needless to say, the audience was fairly pumped up to listen to Rogan have a conversation with Symes. But little did the fans know it was going to be a disappointing episode for them. Soon after the episode was released on YouTube, its link appeared on Reddit and sent the fans into a frenzy.

Despite being the number 1 podcast on Spotify, Rogan couldn’t prevent the fans from bashing the JRE episode. Let’s see what the fans had to say.

Joe Rogan Experience audience lashes out at Jack Symes

As soon as the post was shared on Reddit, the audience took over the comments section and dropped their opinions. Most of the fans hit the snooze button while listening to the podcast. Without a doubt, a historian or a sports star as a guest greatly entertained the JRE fans. But bringing in a philosopher simply didn’t work. A fan commented, “Snooze. Bring a historian or something on. This guy didn’t help the effort in making philosophy taken seriously.”

Even with just a 15-minute clip, the audience was left utterly bored. But the fans didn’t back down from criticizing the JRE guest for jumbling up words and spewing sentences that didn’t make sense to them. One of the fans wrote, “I watched one of those JRE Clips, a 15 minutes long discussion about the multiverse, where Rogan seems like he’s in a real pissy and combative mood, and this guest spews a whole lot of words without actually saying anything.” Meanwhile, another comment read, “This guy has not made a coherent argument 45 min in. Very vague philosophical jumble of words.”

As discussed earlier, the description of the YouTube video enhanced the level of excitement in the fans. However, the podcast failed to live up to their expectations. One fan reflected on this and quoted, “I was really excited when I saw the description of who this guy was, now Im wishing I had 3 hours of my life back.”

Some of the fans point out how the UFC color commentator had to cut off Symes midway. Without a doubt, many didn’t appreciate how the conversation proceeded. One of the fans wrote, “This poor guest literally can’t get a word out without being cut off because Joe needs to “educate” him on everything.” Even Rogan didn’t leave any stone unturned in attacking Symes when he tried to talk about his book. The audience was pretty quick to catch on this. One fan pointed out, “Guy tries to layout the framework to explain the argument he makes in his book and Joe just runs him off the road at every available opportunity.”
