What is the first thing that comes to mind when a UFC fan thinks of Ian Garry? Is it his brilliant striking? Or maybe his undefeated 13-0 record? No, there is a good chance that the first thought in mind would much rather be his wife, Layla Machado Garry. And there are big reasons why.
When Sean Strickland started speaking about Garry’s relationship with his wife, a gruesome online spat ensued. Now, the heat has followed Garry to the cage at UFC 298 as he brawls against Geoff Neal. Here’s how color commentator Joe Rogan reacted to it live.

Joe Rogan is sitting on the desk as the welterweight bout progresses. While Garry seems to be fighting back pretty well, Neal’s prowess may not cause his undoing. It may just be the crowd chanting awful things to him and booing him in the cage.

Boos and words like “c*ck” were being thrown at the young fighter prompting Rogan to react to it. “I really don’t understand the hate” Rogan told his fellow commentators which includes UFC veteran Michael Bisping and Jon Anik. Are you on the same page as Rogan?
Garry has spoken up too about all the hatred. In the last UFC 298 presser, he faced yet another booing audience but ‘The Future’ kept his composure and faced the crowd with his confidence. This time was no different. Joe Rogan later interviewed the fighter.
That’s where he spoke to the fighter about how he has things to prove. This also goes in a similar line to what Garry once said in one of his videos where he claimed that he had people to shut up. He was also throwing shade at Strickland in the same video. Yet another person to verbally thrash Machado Garry was none other than fellow welterweight, Colby Covington, and Garry wants him next.

Ian Garry defeated Geoff Neal in a close matchup via a split decision and as promised, shook his hands with his opponent, Geoff Neal. The fight was over, the crowd was still riled up as Rogan stepped inside the Octagon to interview ‘The Future’.
Garry first started out by giving his props to Neal who fought valiantly for the three round bout. He told Rogan how he feels that Neal is a “dangerous” fighter and he could have won. However, the winner now is Garry and ‘Chaos’ is on the list.

“There’s one guy I want next. His name is Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington,” Garry told Rogan. “I want to retire you from the UFC. You ain’t ready to deal with speed. I’m going to take you out. I’m going to make you regret everything you’ve ever said.” Clearly, emotions are still running high amidst the welterweights in the division. Will ‘The Future’ get his desired matchup next?
