It’s been three months since the release of Conor McGregor‘s debut film ‘Road House’, which received mixed reviews. However, the film’s success can be gauged from its over 50 million views on Amazon Prime within a week, impressing everyone with its performance. During last week’s episode of ‘JRE Fight Companion,” Joe Rogan enjoyed UFC Saudi Arabia with his friends. Later, they discussed the movie and Conor McGregor’s role in “Road House.” One of Rogan’s guests expressed disappointment with the film.

Since 2021, Conor McGregor has been out of the MMA world, focusing on recovering from an injury sustained during his fight against Dustin Poirier. During this time, he has been busy with side quests, one of which is his Hollywood debut, overshadowing Dwayne Johnson’s debut in ‘The Mummy Returns.’

However, Joe Rogan’s guest Brian Simpson didn’t share the same sentiment. During his appearance on “JRE Fight Companion” alongside Bryan Callen and Brendan Schaub, after watching the Robert Whittaker vs Ikram Aliskerov fight, Simpson suddenly brought up McGregor’s “Road House.” Simpson said, ” Conor needs to apologize for that sh*tty movie he made. ” Joe Rogan didn’t agree to the same as he replied, “It was entertaining, though.”

From the other side, Brendan Schaub jumped in, asking, “You didn’t like it?” Joe asked Schaub “You liked Road House?” Brendan replied, “I liked it. I did not expect it to be sh*t, you know, yeah, but it was. ” Another, Bryan Callen guest chimed in, ” It was kind of like a comedy, right? I mean, sort of tongue-in-cheek, it was ridiculous.”

Joe further revealed that parts of the movie were shot at a UFC event, which Brendan Schaub found hard to believe. However, Simpson admitted he hadn’t liked the movie, adding, “I’m not… it was so stupid.” Additionally, while Joe Rogan may have liked the movie “Road House,” he didn’t appreciate McGregor’s statement comparing acting to fighting, where Notorious claimed acting was harder than fighting.

Joe Rogan mocked McGregor’s acting vs. MMA comparison

During the time of the release of his movie “Road House” in March, Conor McGregor was busy giving interviews alongside lead actors Jake Gyllenhall and Daniela Melchoir. In one of these interviews, Mcgregor expressed that making a movie is harder than fighting, citing time commitments, memorizing lines, and building relationships with co-stars.

However, Joe Rogan was not impressed by McGregor’s statements and recalled ‘The Notorious’ broken leg incident against Dustin Poirier. He further commented, “That’s crazy talk I think he just probably just meant that he’s bad at it. He broke his f**king leg in a fight…broke his leg…like that’s harder, yes that’s way harder than talk.”
