Joe Rogan slams UFO conspiracies—Is he right, or is there more to the story?

Joe Rogan’s mind is like a cosmic telescope. Just imagine a star-studded canvas with Rogan standing in the center. He is like a curious explorer whose eyes wonder and reflect upon the mysteries he’s delved into. When he is not sharing his mind on a UFC card, we can find him exercising his thoughts on his podcast ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’

In the latest segment of  The JRE show, titled #2207 with guest Shawn Ryan, Rogan opened up about the possibilities of otherworldly entities such as UFOs and UAPs. The longtime UFC commentator slated his views and said, “When I hear the UFO stuff, there’s a part of my brain that’s like don’t get suckered into this. This s*it’s nonsense! It’s just that, if they were to tell me that a super volcano was going to erupt, I’d believe it because they are real. But for UFOs, there’s part of me that says I don’t believe you!” This isn’t Rogan’s first pronouncement on the subject of extraterrestrial life, but this time, he added a ‘confession’ to his perspective.

Rogan reflected upon a story told to him by a woman whom he dated in the 90s. He stated, “When I was very young, around 24, I was dating this girl who did something in the government and this was pre-internet. One of her jobs was to make sure that the information that the Navy had would reach the Army. There was some sort of database in like these computer terminals where she could share information and she had some sort of top clearance. One day, she wrote ‘Little Green Men’ in the search function, and then her system shut down and people visited her. They asked her why she looked this up and I think she ended up losing her clearance in some way.”

Rogan confessed that the prospect of aliens ignited his imagination, and he recalled delight hearing about this incident years ago. However, with time, he realized the shortcomings in his ex-girlfriend’s actions and her unsuitability for such a position of trust, as Rogan himself said.

He added, “She was doing something that was not requested by the authorities and did it on her own.” However, this is not the first time that The JRE Show has delved into the enigmatic mysteries of the cosmos.

One notable episode featured a conversation with Dr. Avi Loeb, a famous astrophysicist who has made news for this theory that a mysterious interstellar object, ‘Oumuamua’ may have been of extraterrestrial origin. Dr. Loeb said, “Basically, I follow the evidence. Just like Sherlock Holmes trying to find solutions. You have some anomalies that don’t quite match to things that you expect to. The thing about Oumuamua was that it was discovered on 19 October 2017 and it was the very first object that visited the vicinity of our planet outside of the solar system!”

Other episodes featured former Thiel Capital Director, Eric Weinstein who discussed a variety of alien-related subjects, most notably the prospect of alien time travel. Weinstein stated, “If I wanted to go a very long distance, the first thing I do is grow the ruler to shrink the distance, then go the distance under that ruler and then I’d shrink the ruler back. So we talk about things like, Oh these things [UFOs] are behaving like nothing I’ve ever seen. Well, I am worried about a couple of other things that I’m worried about if these things are indeed real!”

Rogan’s open-minded approach has allowed the extravagant ideas of his hosts to be presented in front of the world without judgment. What do you think? Do you share Rogan’s thoughts and his outright rejection of the possibility of ‘UFOs and UAPs’? Drop your comments below.
