“Donald Trump is an existential threat to democracy.” Believe it or not, this is exactly what Joe Rogan had said back in 2022. Now, cut to two years later, and that same man hosted that same existential threat to a three-hour long interview on the Joe Rogan Experience—that, according to many, was one of the media strategies helping Trump’s landslide victory over Kamala Harris. Not just that, Rogan even came out to make a resounding statement about his political views, while involving Trump’s close aide, Elon Musk, in the fray, while explaining how Dana White was instrumental in his decision. But before we get to the meat of the story…

How exactly did the podcaster help secure the POTUS’ victory? Well, for starters, the JRE boasts a towering 14.5 million Spotify followers and 17.5 million YouTube subscribers of mainly male audiences. “This is the most viewed show on earth, and the eyeballs that you’re going to get… is second to none…that already opened up Trump’s campaign to a huge audience,” journalist Matthew Foldi opined. To give you an idea, the podcast episode racked in 26 million views in the first 24 hours—as per the New York Post, it had more views than MLB’s 2024 World Series Game 1 between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers, that averaged 15.2 million viewers. The Rogan-Trump episode currently has 47 million views.

And just as swiftly as the views kept climbing, UFC’s color commentator found himself getting swayed in the other direction as speculations suggested. However, on November 4, the 57-year-old finally came out with his stand. While promoting episode #2223 of the JRE featuring Elon Musk, Rogan stated on X, The great and powerful @elonmusk….If it wasn’t for him we’d be f**ked. He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way”, before adding, For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump. Enjoy the podcast”. Furthermore, the UFC commentator later reflected on his endorsement on JRE #2226 featuring Theo Von on November 7, who also had Trump on his podcast in August…

Von asked Rogan if he felt nervous while endorsing the businessman-turned-politician. Rogan replied that he initially didn’t want to, but was urged by many people to have the President-elect on : “I usually try to stay out of it. But I felt like I was getting urged to by Dana and others, there was quite a few people.”

“I didn’t think it makes a difference. I kind of already stated what I thought about the way things were going and that some radical change needed to take place”, said Rogan. However, he also added why exactly his political affiliations changed, mentioning former president Joe Biden: Before with the way the country felt when Biden was in office was shaky. ‘Cuz regardless of what you thought about his policies, it was real clear [that] something was wrong with him and they were lying to us. So that alone makes the whole country feel uneasy, right?”

“Even if you think that the administration is moving certain policies and certain things are moving in the right direction, the economy is moving in the right general direction, even if you agree to those things, when you have a guy that’s at the front that’s obviously, in some way, compromised…they don’t want to admit. Everybody knows it and he drifts off and he says things that don’t make sense and something’s wrong. So everybody feels uncomfortable…that person that’s in that office kind of sets a tone for the country and the tone for the last four years was confusion,” he stated, before talking about exactly why Kamala Harris’ campaign didn’t appeal to him…

Joe Rogan said,

“Whenever she does interviews, or she talks, it’s a confusing talk. There’s word salad, and then there’s these moments where it seems like she doesn’t know how to wrap up a sentence, which can just be nerves. It could just be nerves talking in front of large groups of people. Doesn’t mean she’s not brilliant…Some people clam up when they have to do those things…You have to be able to do that because you’re going to have to be able to talk to Putin and presidents of these different countries and leaders throughout the world. You got to be able to handle pressure, so that’s kind of part of it too.“The Obama administration, I always felt, was the best because he was measured, never attacked anybody, was very articulate and smooth…Obama was the smoothest…those are the goats,” he concluded.

Notably, the podcaster had revealed last week that he declined an offer to interview Harris.

“Also, for the record the Harris campaign has not passed on doing the podcast. They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin. My sincere wish is to just have a nice conversation and get to know her as a human being. I really hope we can make it happen,” he said.

Well, whatever’s the case, Trump’s supporters, and especially Dana White, for his part, are super ecstatic that his good friend claimed election victory once again. While Rogan states that White influenced him to get Trump on JRE, White thinks that Rogan was instrumental in getting Donald Trump re-elected.

Dana White gives a shout out to Joe Rogan for contributing in Donald Trump’s victory

Right after Trump’s election victory, the UFC head honcho addressed everyone who supported the President. He said, “This is what happens when the machine comes after you. What you’ve seen over the last several years, this is what it looks like. They couldn’t stop him. He keeps going forward; he doesn’t quit—the most resilient, hard-working man I’ve ever met in my life. His family are incredible people. This is karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves this. They deserve it as a family.”

As his speech came to a close, White didn’t forget to give a special shout out to “the mighty and powerful Joe Rogan,” after mentioning The Nelk Boys and Adin Ross. The newly crowned President of the United States seemed content with the JRE host’s endorsement on the eve of election day, too. In response, Trump said, “It just came over the wires that Joe Rogan just endorsed me, is that great. Thank you, Joe. That’s so nice. And he doesn’t do that, he doesn’t do that stuff,” while he was on stage in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for his penultimate rally.

Even though Rogan previously claimed that he wasn’t really a big supporter of Trump, he seemed pretty happy with the outcome of the 2024 Presidential elections. He even went ahead and praised the 47th President of the USA, claiming that it was impossible for anyone to rig the elections, and acknowledged Trump as the rightful winner of the 2024 presidential race.
