The sizzling atmosphere of T-Mobile Arena at UFC 300 had everyone pumped up. The electric matchups, high-paced action, and stacked lineup had everyone’s adrenaline rush. It seems comedian Theo Von was no exception to this, as he issued an amusing call out to his friend, Joe Rogan.

The camera zoomed in on the American standup artist, who has shared a lighter with the UFC commentator on The Joe Rogan Experience. However, this time, he was willing to exchange punches instead of jokes. He said, “What’s up? It’s Theo Van and I’m at UFC 300, and yeah, congratulations, UFC, and tonight, I think, everybody is gonna win. I’m willing to fight Joe Rogan.”

The statement must have turned Rogan’s head, who was in the commentating booth, calling fights at the historic UFC event. The cause of the call could also be the whopping $300,000 bonus that Dana White announced for the UFC 300. After many fighters had implored the UFC lynchpin to raise the bonus during the pre-event presser, White declared, “$300,000, it’s done!”

Will a fight between two close friends ever take place? We are not sure. But a knockout bonus of $300,000 was on the line in the event, so chances were never slim. Meanwhile, Rogan was busy calling fights and then juggling the in-ring interviews with the winners. Amusingly, the American commentator never does interviews with the fighters who dropped fights. Why is that? Israel Adesanya once explained this to Theo Von.

Joe Rogan’s gesture of respecting losing fighters

When a fighter has been knocked out cold, they find it hard to communicate. Rogan realized this, especially after the Alistair Overeem
fight against Stipe Miocic. ‘Stylebender’ told Von, “I mean, that’s why Joe, shoutout to him, he stopped interviewing guys after they’ve been knocked out. Yeah, he said that. I think it was after the Overeem fight.”

“Overeem did a famous meme saying, he says, ‘I clearly felt a tap’ cause he had Stipe in a guillotine and he thought he tapped. But again, he just got rocked. So, your brain is not really all there,” Adesanya added.
