Joe Rogan and woke culture do not go hand in hand. The 56-year-old podcaster has been quite vocal about his stance against woke and cancel culture. Even his comedy club, the ‘Comedy Mothership’, is also a testament to Rogan’s stance against cancel culture, as he claimed that people couldn’t fire him from his own club on the opening day. However, the fight fans know where to attack when the JRE host doesn’t release his comedy specials despite hinting that it is to be apparently released in 2024.

Rogan has around eight comedy specials recorded, but he previously promised to release another hour-long special. In previous episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, he gave the audience some insights about his next special. He revealed that he performed on various stages at different-sized venues to get a hold of it all. But when it came to the content, Rogan disclosed that he was now keeping the entire material pretty tight.

“I feel like everything is way tighter now. So, I’m headlining all the time, so I’m doing an hour. So, instead of doing like 15-minute sets, I’m doing like all this material…  And I feel like more time is better. I feel like this is like the tightest one I’ve ever had, and it’s got the most laughs of any special that I’ve ever had. And I feel like 4 years, which, which, is what it will be when this one comes out [2024], I’m like, that is even better,” he said.

On another instance from JRE, back in 2023, Rogan revealed that he was working on new material for a special. He claimed that the new bits required more work to extract laughter from the audience. Nevertheless, with an hour at his disposal, the comedian-cum-podcaster is certain to leave his audience in splits.

But one question still remains. Why isn’t the special out yet?

A user on Reddit recently shared a video, merging different instances from the past couple of years, wherein Rogan hinted at his next special. But the fans seemed to believe that Rogan got scared of the woke or cancel culture. He restrained himself from releasing the special just because of that. Rogan has talked against the woke culture in multiple instances. He once mentioned that the ideology of it is radically different from what it was back in his 20s. Nevertheless, he also claimed that the culture doesn’t affect him. Unfortunately, the fans seem to think otherwise.

As soon as the video was shared on the social media platform, the fans took over the comments section and began speculating why the comedy special wasn’t released yet. One of the fans pointed out that the podcaster was probably stuck between canceled and woke. The comment read, “He’s stuck trying to decide on a title, he’s stuck between CANCELLED or WOKE.” Another comment recounted a JRE episode wherein Rogan said that he wasn’t going to release the special anytime soon. The fan wrote, ‘On an episode not too long ago he said he wasn’t releasing a special anytime soon.”

Furthermore, one more fan guessed that Rogan realized he wasn’t a good comedian, quoting, “Is there any way he’s finally realized he’s not a good stand up comedian?” But the speculations about it all being a hoax weren’t far away. One fan wrote, “It doesn’t exist. Just like the moon landing it’s a hoax.” But the woke culture didn’t leave the comments section, as another fan wrote, “Imagine a boomer Joe cawlmedy speshul.”

Some of the fans attacked Barstool Comedy in the comments. One fan commented, “After having multiple guests on his podcsst talk s*t about stool f**ing comedians he probably doesn’t want to release it.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “Find the stool and you will find his special.”

Lastly, one fan advised that the podcaster should stick to podcasting and running the ‘Comedy Mothership’, because it was indeed the sweet spot. “He should stick to podcasts, running his comedy club and hanging out with Marshall. That seems to be his sweet spot right now.”

Nevertheless, Rogan is not someone who would go down this easy. But do you think he actually got scared of the woke culture or the cancel culture? Let us know in the comments down below.
