Spotify Podcast host, Joe Rogan invited fellow comedian Neal Brennan to the latest episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. The duo talked about a number of things ranging from comedy, combat sports, Rogan’s rise to fame with the Spotify deal, and more. They both also touched upon the career of legendary golfer Tiger Woods.

While Rogan specified that Woods chose to train routinely to enhance his performance, on the contrary to others who refrained from it. Brennan retorted with a story of his own, as he recalled reading an article about the star player. It baffled Rogan, as he could not believe the star player would push himself this far to attain record-breaking results.

Rogan quizzed, “But do you think that contributed to his back issues or the sheer amount of torque that he puts in his swing?”
Brennan, “There were few articles documenting that he would train, that he was training with Navy seals, like off, like Pendleton or something and that’s where his injuries started. He tore something, training with the seals.”

Joe Rogan could not believe Tiger Woods choose a career as a Navy seal

Soon enough, Jamie pulled out the article by sportscasting, which claimed that Woods gave up golf to pursue a career as a Navy seal. This news definitely amazed UFC Icon, as he could not believe Woods once choose to retire in his prime.

Back in his days of prime in 2006, Woods almost chose to pursue something else over golf. He had just cemented his legacy as one of the all-time greats, winning the PGA Tour 8 times and stitching together a dominant run that is still hailed as an all-time greatest.

However, many don’t know that Woods went on multiple VIP tours with Navy Seals and visited multiple training facilities.

He trained alongside them and did many things with them and even jumped out of planes. His fascination with this lifestyle only from that point onwards, but his life as a golfing legend soon caught up to him. He was soon asked by his team to quit military training and return to the green pastures of golf.
