UFC commentator Joe Rogan laid bare the unseen and unaddressed reality of the city of dreams, Los Angeles, when he appeared on his popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Into its 14th year of running, the famed podcast details diverse topics varying from metaphysics, and politics, or the recent developments. The noted podcaster also puts forth his outlook on the themes. Besides, he doesn’t shy away from pointing out the aspects that remained unexamined. Similarly, the standup comic brought forth the unpleasant element of LA, as he drew parallels with dystopian worlds.
Notably, the 55-year-old sat down with fellow comedian Duncan Trussell in the ep. #1953 of JRE. The duo, while shedding light on their careers as comics, also traced the trajectory of the California post-legalization of cannabis. Further, the guest mentioned the impact it had on different demographics and especially kids. The color commentator then touched on the coinage of the term ‘unhoused’ instead of the usage of homeless that carried baggage. This was an aspect of the society yet to be addressed.

The renowned TV presenter in the conversation stated how there are two absolutely distinct realities that existed. The one was “regular LA”.
Expanding on the regular reality, the UFC personnel mentioned Beverly Hills. The people there went to Yoga, walked in the streets, and drove the Bentleys. However, he then specified the other facet.
Thus, the UFC personnel said, “And then, just a few miles away, you’ve got Mad Max.”
Following this, he spelled out, “You got people in the Walking Dead living on the concrete, on the street. And then the entire avenue is lined with tents. It’s a full village of people living with no supervision, open-air drug use, s*x, violence, chaos, fires. All sorts of wild sh*t.”

The host then also described the implausible scenario as people stole electricity to power their devices inside their tents. However, the unhinged phenomenon was tolerated.
Lastly, the former Fear Factor host noted, “And it’s in the same general space in the world as the most technologically advanced people that have ever lived.”
Despite the gloomy depiction, the guest made peace with the place as it looked better to him.
