And Joe Rogan, in his recent episode #1911, touched upon this critical topic with the guest, Mark Boal. While doing so, the UFC commentator also talked about how bots are more dangerous than what many perceive them to be. And the role these bots played in the attacks landed on Elon Musk online, during his Twitter takeover saga.

According to Rogan, the US made use of bots to target Musk during his pursuit of purchasing Twitter.
Joe Rogan accuses the US of attacking Elon Musk with bots
During his episode with Mark Boal, the UFC commentator talked about the uproar Elon Musk faced during his Twitter acquisition. Additionally, according to Joe Rogan, the US situated the bots that attacked Musk in order to oppose the action. The 55-year-old stated the use of bots on this scale is something that has come from countries like China and Russia.
“It’s also being influenced by China, it’s being influenced by these Russian troll farms. And also, I guarantee it the United States is doing this as well. Why would they not? We know they do because there’s a bunch of bots that retreated and reposted rather, without reposting it. By just posting it individually.” said Rogan.

The UFC commentator put forth the similarity of the tone these attacks on Elon Musk held, in order to further explain why he thinks that was the bots’ doing. Joe Rogan stated, “The very same message about Elon Musk when he took over Twitter. ‘Should one man have all this power.’ And it was like the same exact quote over and over and over and over and over and over, in these accounts that looked like they were just regular people. But they clearly weren’t. They are bots.”
In addition to talking about the bots, Rogan also discussed the repercussions of participating too much in online conversations has had on today’s society.
People are becoming more homogenized
Joe Rogan also delved into the topic of the damage, over-indulging in social media interactions incurs on people. “The people that are constantly interacting and constantly reading comments and responding to comments, and taking in those comments, they have become more homogenized.”

He further added that people have lost their ability to think individually.
“They’ve become more in lined with whatever the Zeitgeist is telling you. And it’s very difficult to have independent, individual perspectives that are unique.” said Rogan.
The UFC commentator firmly believes that people are becoming conditioned to think and behave in a certain way.
