What was supposed to be a star-studded return for Conor McGregor turned into a disaster as he had to pull out of his clash against Michael Chandler due to an injury. What was the injury, you ask? Well, it’s an injury he sustained in his pinky toe. Sounds a bit absurd, right? Well, Joe Rogan believes that McGregor made the right decision in pulling out of his clash.

While in conversation on ‘Fight Companion’, Rogan was asked about his opinion on McGregor, the multi-million dollar podcaster emphasized that while McGregor might get a lot of hate for pulling out of his clash, he made the right judgment. “I knew about it in advance. Look, here’s the thing about a broken pinkie toe. When you’ve been kicked as much as Conor, then it’s a fu*ing problem. It’s also the same foot where his leg was snapped, and he went into that fight injured,” said Rogan.

He further added, “He[Conor McGregor] never pulled out of any fight before. This is the first time he pulled out, and I think it’s wise. I mean, if you do have a broken toe and you are going into a fight, and you did go into the last fight injured, what if the fu*ing toe became an issue? What if he throws a kick and he smashes it again?”

“And if he still drinking at partyes Joe?”

Well, talking about fights, an MMA fan asserted that Micahel Chandler shouldn’t have waited for McGregor as he could have fought multiple times in the promotion. This has been an ongoing point of discussion among both fans and MMA pundits, given that the fighter has not stepped into the octagon for over 2 years, and maybe McGregor is no longer simply reliable to see through his commitments.

“Chandler could have fought 3x instead of waiting for Conor and had some good money in the bank”

Last but not least, a fan is of the opinion that McGregor is just afraid of consequences as a defeat would severely destroy his relevance in the sport.
