Joaquin “New Mansa” Buckley is on a roll as of late. At UFC 255, he earned another KO victory against Jordan Wright and called out James Krause for a fight. Buckley revealed he has bad blood with Krause and wants to settle it inside the octagon.
But it looks like the UFC has other plans for Buckley as they are looking to offer him a bout against Julian Marquez in his next outing at UFC 257.

Krause, who is a former lightweight and currently fights at welterweight, might have his own reasons for not taking the fight. There’s a considerable amount of weight and size difference between him and Buckley.
As for Buckley, he has started making a statement in the UFC middleweight division. Since his knockout loss to Kevin Holland, Buckley has earned back-to-back stoppage victories. His knockout victory over Impa Kasanganay was touted as the best knockout ever in the UFC by many.
Buckley followed up his multi bonus performance with yet another spectacular finish. He rocked his opponent Jordan Wright at the end of round 1.
The fight could well have been stopped then. As the 2nd round started, Buckley carried on from his impressive round 1 and managed to finish the fight with a spectacular knockout.
Krause has previously fought at middleweight

In his post-fight interview, Buckley called out Krause. Krause has previously fought at middleweight once this year.
The veteran fighter stepped up on a day’s notice at UFC 247 to fight Trevin Giles. He was at the event to corner one of his teammates. But Giles’ opponent had to withdraw and Krause stepped up in a weight class he had never fought before.
Krause lost a split decision against Giles, but many believed that he actually won that fight. It was an incredible show of professionalism from the veteran.

Although, it looks like Buckley’s wish of fighting Krause will not be granted. That’s because Julian Marquez looks certain to be his next fight. The DWCS alum is looking to get back in the win column after losing a split decision in his last outing.
Who should Buckley fight next? Let us know in the comments.
