Two-time UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has overcome a formidable challenge in the form of defeating rival Alex Pereira. ‘Poatan’ had defeated Adesanya in all of their previous meetings, leading up till UFC 287. However, ‘Stylebender’ finally got the better of the Brazilian in the fourth attempt as he knocks out the former middleweight champion.
Adesanya became a two-time champion and this feature was commended by a former UFC champion. ‘The Last Stylebender’ was on a receiving end of a strong message from the former UFC star.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk sends a heartwarming message to Israel Adesanya

After the win against bitter rival Alex Pereira, Adesanya received a lot of support and appreciation for his performance at UFC 287. Joanna Jedrzejczyk posted a message for the newly crowned middleweight king on Twitter.
Jedrzejczyk wrote, “The Real Middleweight KING is back – @stylebender !!! Big Congrats man. It’s extremely difficult to become the ufc champion again, especially after so many dominant title defencens, and then a sudden defeat. One of the greatest. #Tb Skinny asses from the weigh ins 3.6.2020″

The former UFC strawweight champion appreciated the performance by ‘The Last Stylebender’. She acknowledged the efforts required by a former champion to regain their crown in professional MMA.

She also posted a picture of the two back in 2020. The photo was taken back a UFC 248 when Adesanya faced Yoel Romero and Jedrzejczyk faced Zhang Weili. Adesanya came out of the event with a win over Romero. However, Jedrzejczyk faced a loss against Zhang Weili.
Israel Adesanya supported Joanna Jedrzejczyk’s decision to retire after UFC 275

‘Stylebender’ took to YouTube to share his reactions to UFC 275. The UFC middleweight saw Jedrzejczyk get defeated by Zhang Weili for the second time. This turned out to be the former UFC strawweight champion’s last fight in MMA. She announced her retirement immediately after the fight.
Adesanya showed his support to Jedrzejczyk’s decision, “Joanna, appreciate you and I get it. It’s been a long time in the game, go live your life and enjoy yourself, you deserve it.”
