UFC’s first PPV event for 2025 delivered big time and a major reason for that was Jiri Prochazka and his absolute war against Jamahal Hill. Displaying incredible grit and aggression, he humbled Hill with a stunning finish, sending the former champion into a deep sleep. With this emphatic performance, Prochazka not only returned to the win column but did so in style, reminding the division why he’s one of the most dangerous fighters in the sport.
UFC veteran and commentator Michael Bisping was thoroughly impressed by Prochazka’s refined approach. Speaking about the Czech fighter’s performance, Bisping praised his evolution, noting that the adjustments in Prochazka’s style added a new layer to his already dynamic skillset. It was a victory that left fans and analysts alike buzzing about what’s next for ‘The Czech Samurai’.

Michael Bisping was fully captivated by the action at UFC 311, particularly the electrifying showdown between Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka. After witnessing the bout, Bisping shared his thoughts on the ‘herky-jerky’ style of the former 205lbs champ, describing it as both chaotic and highly effective.
Bisping took to his YouTube channel and said: “The most exciting fight is Jiri Prochazka, the Czech Samurai, taking on Jamahal Hill. This one delivered for sure. As soon as Jiri walked out, you stopped in the middle of the crowd, just staring him down like an absolute psychopath, OK? Jamahal Hill stood there, trying to hold his gaze as well. The fight starts, and Jiri is doing his usual thing—it’s a herky-jerky style, unpredictable. You can’t read it; there are no patterns.”

Prochazka’s unique approach eschews traditional techniques like keeping his chin down and hands up, instead embracing a wild, unorthodox style that thrives on chaos. However, Prochazka made some changes to his approach and was guarding himself better. And it worked wonders yet again.
And it seems the Czech fighter is already setting his sights on his next challenge. Prochazka is eager for another showdown with Alex Pereira, hinting at a potential trilogy bout that would undoubtedly have fans on the edge of their seats.

Prochazka is eager to fight Alex Pereira again
Jiri Prochazka has made his ambitions loud and clear: he’s gunning for light heavyweight gold and a trilogy bout with Alex Pereira. Fresh off his third-round victory over Jamahal Hill in a grueling battle at UFC 311, Prochazka didn’t hesitate to issue a callout to the Brazilian star. Speaking to Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview, he declared, “F–k man – I want a third fight with Alex Pereira.”
Prochazka left no room for ambiguity, expressing that Pereira is the only opponent he’s interested in next, regardless of the outcome of Pereira’s fight against Magomed Ankalaev. He explained, “If he [Alex] wins, it doesn’t matter to me. For me, it doesn’t matter if he wins or loses. Like I said, I want to show my improvements. My style is my focus. I want to win decisively and show the world that in the first fight, I almost got him, and the second fight, for me, was ridiculous. I was in a really bad place.”

With Pereira’s next fight scheduled for UFC 313 on March 8, White stated he wants to “wait and see” before making any decisions. With Prochazka back on the winning path and Pereira potentially poised for another high-stakes battle, the possibility of this trilogy fight looms large.
