Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill faced off once again, this time inside the UFC Performance Institute, following their initial clash at UFC 300. Their interaction quickly escalated into a heated confrontation, potentially putting Jamahal Hill in a dangerous situation. As Hill challenged Pereria for a clash, the light-heavyweight champion threw gloves at him to spar but the former champ declined asserting that he doesn’t fight for free. While both of the light-heavyweight fighters engage in heated rivalry, Jiri Prochazka has come forward to comment on the antics.

Since UFC 300, Jamahal Hill has been throwing a rant that it was Herb Dean’s sudden stoppage that cost him the fight, ‘Sweet Dreams’ has been demanding a rematch with the light-heavyweight champion for months now but the promotion has some other plans for him. Regardless, while having a conversation with renowned journalist Ariel Helwani, Jamahal Hill stated that Hill should have fought Pereira at the UFC Pi since he challenged him, “I just saw some things Jamahal said about he’s going to the cage for the money.” said Prochazka.

He further added, “That’s another thing that I don’t want to talk because it will be not nice talking because, for me, I don’t need the money to fight with the champion or guys who stay in the top five. I like to be – how to say, not to be nice, but to be respectful for others. For the losers, for the winners, for your opponents, for everybody. If you are a fighter, you have the power to change things, to make happen, to lift somebody or give them down so every word, every doing – you have to be careful with what you’re doing, what you’re saying.”

Jiri Prochazka has fought Alex Pereira twice in his career and faced defeat both times. Despite this, he has never blamed his losses on anything other than himself. However, ahead of their second clash, Prochazka intriguingly suggested that Pereira uses some “voodoo stuff” before his matches to secure victory.

While having a conversation with the media, Alex Pereira’s former kickboxing rival and UFC fighter, Dustin Jacoby emphasized that Hill should have gone inside the cage, “I don’t know, man. It’s like I don’t know why Jamahal would go in there. If I’m him, I just don’t go right up to him. You settle your differences in the octagon,” said Jacoby.

He further added, “He had his opportunity. He’ll probably get another opportunity if he continues to do well. But Pereira, man, he’s just, again, another gamer. A guy that’s like alright you want to talk? Here you go, here’s the gloves, let’s go in here [laughs]. I think that’s a dangerous move too, man. Pereira is obviously one of the best to do it. One of the best strikers there’s ever been in the UFC with amazing power. So if that fight happens again I can see Pereira doing the same thing, you know, same outcome.”
