Jiri Prochazka Promises to Show His “True Power” After Khamzat Chimaev’s Incendiary Claims of Beating Him in a Sparring Session

Khamzat Chimaev appeared in the headlines again after spilling out details about a sparring session against the light heavyweight fighter, Jiri Prochazka. However, the Czech fighter clapped right back at the rising UFC star in a video that has gone viral on social media.

Chimaev made an appearance on the popular ‘The MMA Hour’ show hosted by famous combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani. He reiterated a story regarding a sparring session with former champion Jiri Prochazka.

Khamzat Chimaev claims to have defeated Jiri Prochazka in a sparring session

‘Borz’ mentions that many fighters talk negatively about him. One such fighter is the ‘Czech Samurai‘. However, he claims to have beaten Prochazka during a sparring session when the former light heavyweight champion used to train at the All Stars Training Center in Sweden. This incident took place when Jiri Prochazka and Khamzat Chimaev fought in other promotions, before coming into the UFC.

Chimaev told Helwani, “We sparred, hard sparring, I won many rounds. I submit him many times, I beat him many times.” The Swedish fighter believes that the light-heavyweight division may not consist of good fighters since Jiri Prochazka became a champion a few years later. ‘Borz’ was also angry about the fact that his former sparring partner was able to get hold of a title shot before him.

Jiri Prochazka sends a warning to ‘Borz’

‘The Czech Samurai’ noticed Chimaev’s comments on ‘The MMA Hour’ and decided to warn the Swedish fighter in a video that has gone viral on the internet. He said, “Which person needs to speak again and again about this four-year-old information? Gym inside information.” 

Prochazka warned Khamzat Chimaev that he will show him his fighting abilities when they meet next time. “When we will meet next time in the cage, I will show you my true power. I will not take it lightly anymore. Don’t speak about others too much. Love yourself more.”

‘Borz’ is often known to be very vocal and open to talk about anything he likes. However, Jiri Prochazka clearly isn’t happy with Chimaev’s comments and believes it is unnecessary to talk about what happens inside a gym. We will have to wait and see what follows after the former light heavyweight champion’s warning to the Swedish fighter.
