Jean Silva strikes again! The Brazilian Fighting Nerd has finished his opponent in a fashion so clean that even the fight gods are astonished. With only one thing on his mind—victory—Silva embraced the challenge in the shape of Melsik Baghdasaryan at UFC Seattle. ‘Lord’ promised to finish his opponent and break into the top 15 to face Bryce Mitchell, and that’s exactly what he did in Seattle.
After closing the distance, Silva surged toward Baghdasaryan and unleashed a powerful one-two combination, knocking his opponent off his feet. As Silva dropped Baghdasaryan and started to unload, the referee intervened to gift the victory to the Brazilian fighter. As the horns of triumph blow for Silva, he had one opponent in his mind- Bryce Mitchell. After the victory in the Octagonal interview, Silva called out Dana White to book him against Mitchell, “But there’s a guy that has been talking a lot of crap, Bryce Mitchell, Dana put me in front of him and I will do the job.”

Even before the match, Jean Silva was done with Bryce Mitchell’s antics as he stated that he would call for a fight against ‘Thug Nasty’ if he secures a victory against Baghdasaryan, “I have a chance to call out Bryce Mitchell after this fight.” As for the fight, after knocking out Baghdasaryan, Silva gestured to the referee to intervene as his opponent was down. However, the official allowed the action to continue, and “Lord” pressed on. Baghdasaryan had no answer for the relentless elbows raining down, and after just a few, the referee stepped in to wave it off.

With this victory, Jean Silva is now 4-0 in the UFC and on his way to breaking into the top 15 of the featherweight division. As he roars at the competition, ‘Lord’ has promised to dominate his way to the top.
“I will disfigure everybody’s faces,” says Jean Silva ahead of UFC Seattle
With four consecutive victories—each by knockout—Jean Silva is a force to be feared. After this performance, he is set to make his mark in the featherweight division’s top 15. However, before that, he has promised not only to dominate but also to disfigure everyone within the featherweight realm. Silva messed up Drew Dober’s face so badly that the doctors had to intervene to stop the match and now he has knocked out Melsik Baghdasaryan. Things appear to be spicy in the featherweight division as more stacked fighters are making their entry.

While having a conversation with the media, Silva has promised that once he shatters through the ranking table, he would be a menace to all of the others within the 145 lbs division, “They will have to pick up the pieces after the fight to get them back in place. I’m showing everybody I will disfigure everybody’s faces. I’ll hurt them. I’m that guy, you know? People that fight me don’t fear the fight, they fear how they’ll look after the fight.”
He further added, “I’ll send another message to the division. Calm down, better days will come for some, and worst days will come for others.” With a career record of 15 victories and only 2 defeats, Jean Silva might replicate what Ilia Topuria did in the division. Interestingly, with Topuria’s exodus from the featherweight division, every contender would be steadfast in their approach to claim the belt. Given that do you think, Silva has what it takes to become the next big thing within the division?
