Jan Blachowicz Says Jon Jones Has to Come Through on His Promise for a Fight

Jan Blachowicz is currently the UFC light heavyweight champion and is one of the best fighters to be a part of the UFC. The Polish fighter has an MMA record of  28-8 and became the UFC champion after defeating Dominick Reyes at the UFC 253 event.

Blachowicz is now set to defend his UFC title against Glover Teixeira at UFC 267. And while people are really excited to see that fight. There is one fighter who they really want to see Blachowicz fight, and that is UFC legend, Jon Jones.

‘Bones’ is an MMA legend and is inarguably the greatest fighter to have competed in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. Therefore, fans have often wanted to see how Blachowicz would do against the legend. Recently, during an online Q&A session on Twitter, a user asked Blachowicz whether he would want to fight Jon Jones.

To this Blachowicz replied, “Of Course, he has to face me, he promised that.”

Even though Blachowicz has proven himself to be a great champion, many people still believe that as Jones vacated the title, he still is the real champion. Therefore, if Blachowicz can face and defeat ‘Bones’, it would cement his place as a credible UFC champion.

However, as of now, a fight between Jones and Blachowicz seems unlikely as Jones has decided to move up to the heavyweight division. And although a fight for ‘Bones’ hasn’t been announced, one can expect to see Jones’s heavyweight debut in 2022.

Jan Blachowicz is ready to fight Jon Jones ‘Anytime, Anywhere.’

During the same Q&A session, another user asked Blachowicz a question regarding ‘Bones’. Blachowicz was asked, “If Jon Jones comes back to the division, would you like to face him right away? And how would you approach that fight?”

In response Blachowicz wrote, “Anytime. Anywhere” and again proved that he is ready to take on Jones whenever the former champion is ready.

Currently, though, Blachowicz is all set to face Glover Teixeira at the UFC 267 event. This will be a stern test for Blachowicz, as even though he has been in top form, Teixeira has also been performing incredibly well for the past 2 years.
