Jamahal Hill may walk out of UFC 300 a two-time UFC champion. ‘Sweet Dreams’, who dominated and retired Glover Teixeira at their UFC 283 clash to become the champion last January. He vacated it barely six months later after suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Alex Pereira, in only his second fight at 205, fought Jiri Prochazka (champion before Hill, who also vacated due to injury), and stopped the Czech in the second round to become the new 205-pound king4. Now, Hill will face Pereira, one of the UFC’s most popular stars, in the UFC 300 main event to possibly reclaim his crown. As he sets up for a thrilling showdown in a clash that is expected to be a striking masterclass, which song will he pick to walk out?

Jamahal Hill had an excellent night on his last UFC outing. ‘Sweet Dreams’, coming off a winning streak, including a first-round knockout against Johnny Walker, all of which earned him a shot at the UFC title at UFC 283 last January for the title vacated after Jiri Prochzka’s injury.
Hill’s opponent Teixeira, who had become champion in October 2021 at the age of 42, was coming off an epic, title-winning fight against Prochazka, was hoping to make history again and regain his title. However, these hopes were dashed by Hill who put on a striking masterclass to win the fight.
Hill set the stage for a spectacular entrance as he walked out with his characteristic swagger to the iconic song ‘In the Air Tonight’ by Phil Collins and energized the crowd. However, this is not the only song Hill has chosen for his walkouts and used to set the mood.

Jamahal Hill’s walkout song in his last fight at UFC 283
For his 2022 clash against Thiago Santos, Jamahal Hill chose the song ‘Where I’m From’ by Jackboy, which was a song chosen to represent his roots for his walk-out 16. Hill proved himself against the veteran, winning by unanimous decision in the fourth round off of his dominant performance.
Before he defeated Santos and became the number one title contender, Hill faced Brazilian light heavyweight phenom Johnny Walker, whom he stopped in the first round with a beautiful counter overhand right.

Hill chose the song ‘Knife Talk’ by Drake to walk out against Walker at their Fight Night clash. Given his eclectic selection of walkout music, it is difficult to say which song he may walk out to for possibly the most important fight of his career. And a win will boost his popularity and enhance the legacy he leaves behind.
