Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill are all set to contest for Pereira’s light heavyweight title at the main event of UFC 300. That’s right, the fight is upon us and in the recent presser, the former champion and the reigning champion had things to say to one another despite the language barrier.
Those who know Pereira, know that he doesn’t speak just about any English during his appearances on camera. The Brazilian is known for conquering matches and the hearts of fans with one word, “chama”. Yet, for Hill, he had more than one word to say.

“I’ll make him remember this moment when I’m in my walkout about to go to the Octagon and my music is playing.” said the champ. “I’ll make him remember this moment.” In response to this, Hill had a very dismissive attitude almost as if not taking his opponent seriously.
“Write it down, take a picture, I don’t give a f*ck.” Said Hill, “. . . you step in there with me, ain’t nothing to talk about. Ain’t nothing to say. It’s all right here and I’m on your as*.” He was audibly heard saying that Pereira must not know who he was speaking to.
Of course, Hill is asserting his dominance as the former champion. In a podcast with Demetrious Johnson, he also said that he was very interested in knocking Pereira out cold to which ‘Mighty Mouse’ laughed loudly in entertainment. Clearly, the idea of it is interesting and Hill wanting to fight ‘Poatan’ on his feet will showcase a potentially massive brawl. While Hill has exchanged his words, he’s also shown Pereira’s power respect before.
