The end of the boxing match between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz was the beginning of something huge. At the moment, Paul and PFL are ready to put up a whopping $10 million for an MMA fight between Diaz and Paul. The bout between ‘The Problem Child’ and the Stockton native was a highly entertaining spectacle that lasted for 10 rounds. By the end of the 10th round, the judges had scored in favor of Paul. However, many appreciated the former UFC fighter for his durability inside the boxing ring.

According to combat sports lovers, one of the highlights of the bout was when Diaz tried a guillotine choke against the YouTuber-turned-boxer, which is not allowed in a boxing match. Since it was an illegal move from Diaz, Paul could not attack the 38-year-old through countermoves. Nonetheless, he strongly believes that he could beat Diaz in an MMA fight. Crushing his hopes, Diaz’s former rival Rafael dos Anjos has claimed that Paul would never beat Diaz in an MMA fight. Let’s find out the reason behind his claim.

Rafael dos Anjos sat with TMZ Sports. During the chat, he was asked about his take on the potential MMA fight between Paul and Diaz. He said, “Nate is a fighter. He got good jiu-jitsu, he has that mentality, the fighter mentality. It’s a real fight. When you go to the ground and elbows and knees… it’s a different game. I think Jake Paul can train as much as he wants, he don’t beat Nate Diaz in an MMA fight.

The Brazilian fighter and Diaz locked horns back in December 2014 at the UFC on Fox 13. After the electrifying three-round match, it was dos Anjos who emerged victorious via a unanimous decision. As someone who has experience with Diaz, the former UFC lightweight champion is indeed the right one to say if Paul stands a chance against Diaz in an MMA clash. Nonetheless, ‘The Problem Child’ is highly confident about winning against Diaz. Recently, he also claimed that he just needs six months to prepare for their MMA fight.
