Sean Strickland isn’t exactly the ‘best on the mic’ and doesn’t always bother about sounding politically correct. However, his candor has often fared him on the front page. When he beat Abus Magomedov in his last fight, he had no idea that he would be getting a title shot against Israel Adesanya.

The two fighters are going to fight at UFC 293. While Adesanya is going to be defending his belt, Strickland is looking to make his mark in the division and become the UFC champ. He is filling in the shoes of Dricus Du Plessis who was speculated to be the fight for Adesanya at UFC 293. While most people have mixed feelings about the controversial fighter, a recent video revealing a new side of Strickland has left fans perplexed.

The beef between Adesanya and Strickland has been escalating ever since the fight was announced. Adesanya had made controversial statements about a part of him being ‘Chinese’ and had carried the Chinese flat on his back. Strickland, a master at talking trash at his opponents, took the opportunity, to make questionable allegations and comments about Adesanya’s morals and statements. In fact, at the UFC 293 press conference, Strickland called Adesanya a ‘cringe lord’.

In an interesting turn of events, a video where Strickland lays his other side bare has been going viral. In this video, Strickland is seen talking to his long-time girlfriend and the bond that the two share is in sharp contrast to who he is in the UFC. Strickland and his girlfriend were talking about how once, they almost broke up because she had said that she would put him in jail if Strickland even ‘hypothetically’ killed someone.

It was truly shocking for one and all to see Sean Strickland in conversation with his girlfriend. He was not his usual self – nonchalant and brazen. The fans were taken aback upon seeing Strickland talking to his girlfriend gently. The video was uploaded on Reddit with the caption: “Best couple in the UFC?“. Fans joined the comment section to react to the video.

“This woman appears remarkably normal,” commented one fan, as another said, “Idk how I pictured Sean Stricklands girl but she is perfect“.

Strickland who recently made a really controversial statement about “killing someone in a fight” was not spared comments with the same context. Comments like, “Lmao every thing Sean says is about killing someone“, “I can’t be the only one thinking Sean was mad because he doesn’t think it’s a hypothetical for him and was testing the waters.“, and “Strickland has crazy road rage. It was a hypothetical but she said let me just be on the safe side so this doesn’t really happen one day.“, were some digs taken at Strickland’s statement.
