The UFC announced it will be holding its first-ever event in China after the pandemic. The MMA promotion announced the news on Wednesday. The fight will take place in the glorious city of Shanghai at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium on December 9.

A viral video showcased him proudly brandishing a Chinese flag while jestingly asserting his “Chinese affiliation from the waist downward.” This peculiar footage formed part of a Chinese advertising campaign that featured Adesanya during his kickboxing sojourn in China.

These are the specific reasons why he was referred to as a Chinese joke.
