Jorge Masvidal, in the latter half of his career, has experienced stardom one can only wish for. After a spectacular 2019, Gamebred became one of the most recognized fighters on the face of the planet. The majority of the credit goes to his record-breaking knockout victory against then-undefeated Ben Askren.

Although, the inception of his sudden rise to fame came after he knocked out Darren Till in London. Nevertheless, it wasn’t the reason why Masvidal made the headlines though. Instead, his old backstage scuffle with now-UFC champion Leon Edwards gained attention.

After more than three years, the dormant beef got ignited again after Edwards won the belt against the long-reigning champion, Kamaru Usman. Right after the brit’s victory, Masvidal has been constantly calling him out over social media for a title match.

The pair went back and forth on Twitter

Initially, Edwards spoke about fighting in a rematch against Usman. He completely dismissed the callouts made by Masvidal. However, of late, the Jamaican-born decided to respond to Gamebred’s comments. Moreover, Leon Edwards took to his Twitter to and asked Masvidal to beg for a fight.

Furthermore, Masvidal added that the champion begged to fight him when he was contesting for the title and now that Edwards has the belt, it’s the right time to fight. He even clarified that he wasn’t dodging Edwards, but he was just busy fighting higher competition before him.

After Rocky’s response, where be asked Masvidal to get on his knees, Gamebred replied back with another tweet. He said, “I’ve never gotten on my knees and begged anyone for anything. If your lifestyle is to get on your knees for stuff that’s on you, I’m not judging. Accept the fight, get this payday,  get your rematch and get your face broken at the same time. It’s a no brainer dummy #itoldyou”
