The ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ is popular beyond the walls of combat sports. JRE has featured a variety of personalities, from athletes to comedians and scientists to actors. However, one question that circled around was how the guests felt during their first visit to Rogan’s studio. Sean O’Malley answered that question during his appearance in Theo Von’s show.

The American podcaster himself was a guest on Rogan’s podcast. However, in ‘This Past Weekend’, O’Malley revealed his first experience with Rogan’s studio.
Sean O’Malley’s first JRE experience
Two years ago, the American stand-up comedian and podcaster invited the UFC bantamweight fighter, Sean O’Malley to his show, ‘This Past Weekend’. Von displayed his curiosity about O’Malley’s experience with Joe Rogan’s podcast. He asked, “What was it like when you guys went over to Joe Rogan? I know you’re a huge Joe Rogan fan. Dude, me too.” The comedian went on as he recalled the first time he walked into the UFC commentator’s studio. He said that it felt like he walked into a place where they wrote the Bible.
Then, O’Malley revealed that he was pretty nervous when he went to Rogan’s studio. He said, “I was nervous as f**k! The night before, I got this Airbnb, and I didn’t look at it. I’m like ‘oh this is two miles from Rogan’s place’. I figured it will be a nice little place. It’s some ghetto a** apartment studio! One bedroom, one bed. And it’s like Tim [Welch] and I are f**king sleeping in that bed and I’m like under the top covers. He said it’s un- uncomfortable, just greasy. It wasn’t awkward. It was like weird being in there because it didn’t feel clean.”
Furthermore, the 28-year-old UFC bantamweight contender revealed that he got caffeinated and went into Rogan’s. Additionally, he said, “I know his podcasts are long, like 3 hours, but it felt like it went good.”
Joe Rogan praised ‘Sugar’ on JRE
In the JRE MMA Show, episode #97, the podcaster praised O’Malley’s growth as a fighter. He said that ‘Sugar’ was a young kid who was learning the sport while everyone was watching him at the UFC. He initially wasn’t as sharp during Dana White’s Contender show. However, Rogan didn’t fail to recognize that the bantamweight contender was on a completely different level now.
