The current UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko responded to Khabib Nurmagomedov for his comments on the octagon girls. The women’s champion believes ring girls are a crucial part of the promotion.

Recently, in an interview, the undefeated former UFC fighter, who had shared his views on the ring girls of UFC, faced a lot of criticism for his comments. Many people disagreed with his opinion. ‘Bullet’ was one of them.

In an interview with James Lynch, Shevchenko said, “They were since the beginning of the UFC. They were since the beginning of everything. And to say they don’t belong to martial arts, it’s so bad. It’s not right because they are part. And it’s kind of like, without all of this, any fighter would not be in the position of where he is right now.”

That’s why there is no discussion. Ring girls, they are part of the biggest promotions, smallest promotions of anything.”

The ‘Bullet’ will soon defend her flyweight gold against Lauren Murphy at UFC 266. This will be Shevchenko’s sixth title defense in the UFC. However, the fight will not be the only massive upcoming event for her, as she will make her Tinseltown debut soon.
