Recently, the #10 UFC welterweight Vicente Luque talked about the Facebook founder in his interview. Luque expressed his belief that the possibility of Zuckerberg venturing into MMA is realistic. “I definitely think it’s something that can happen. It does seem like he’s really disciplined, he’s not trying just to hype all this stuff,” he said.

Moreover, the UFC fighter noted Zuckerberg’s evident discipline and avoidance of mere hype, suggesting that his approach seems focused on real progress. “He’s trying to work the right way, build himself little by little from the ground up and I respect that a lot,” he added.

Following these positive words was an unfiltered suggestion to Zuckerberg. Dismissing the Meta CEO’s desire to fight in the UFC, Luque suggested that he should fight less-experienced MMA athletes first.

Should Mark Zuckerberg really start from the bottom?

Luque, discussing Zuckerberg’s potential MMA debut, emphasized the need for a logically sound matchup. He advised against an inexperienced fighter like Zuckerberg going up against well-seasoned opponents.

“I think it has to be a fight that makes sense you know. I don’t ever think that a guy that has no fight should ever you know start fighting against somebody experienced just because it’s really tough,” the UFC welterweight said. “It can happen, a guy can go out there and get a win, I’m not saying that he can’t. But, the probabilities are not that much,” he added.

Therefore, he recommended a more reasonable approach: starting Zuckerberg against an opponent with minimal experience, preferably three or four fights. “I would say, maybe start him off with a guy that doesn’t have more than three or four fights. I think he can definitely (win),” he said.
