Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad are going to clash at UFC 304 very soon and tension is high. The latter is probably ready to take revenge for the eye poke in their previous match. “When I look at his resume for him to get the title fight, he fought nothing but lightweights,” said Belal when he was asked about his perception of his opponent’s records. ‘Remember The Name’ seems to be confident about his chance at the welterweight title, after a 9-fight winning streak. He also seems to have another wildcard up his sleeve. Rumor has it that Kha͏bib Nur͏mago͏medov is training him and he dissected every move Edwards could make.

So now Muhammad is confident that he can replicate what Khabib did to Connor McGregor. Recently, there have been speculations that ‘The Eagle’ has a blueprint ready for Muhammad so that he can defeat Edwards. Home Of Fight posted on X, “Khabib ‘broke down’ the entirety of Leon Edwards as a fighter to create a gameplan for Belal Muhammad at UFC 304.”

Now Muhammad plans to execute the similar ways that Khabib did for McGregor at UFC 299. To win the 170 lbs title, he has been training with Team Khabib. The 36-year-old is confident that he will win, so he even commented about his plan after the fight while speaking to MMA Junkie. “I think after the fight, I’m gonna walk to his corner and do the Khabib thing. [I’m gonna] throw my mouthpiece at them,” Belal said.

What Muhammad intends to do is pretty similar to what happened at UFC 299. The fight was not just another bout between ‘The Eagle’ and ‘The Notorious’. After the fight, Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage to confront Dillon Danis. Muhammad also wants to do something similar after his bout at UFC 304. The last time that someone did this, they were slapped with a fine by Dana White. Diego Lopes also jumped out of the cage after his win against Sodiq Yosuff back in UFC 300. He was fined by UFC and Muhammad might face something similar.

While some fans believe that Belal Muhammad will be able to execute the Hall of Famer’s plan, others don’t think so. One UFC fan said, “The plan: take him down and wrestle him for 25 minutes.” Another remarked, “We gonna see if Khabib is as good as his father when it comes to coaching & game planning.”

One follower showed his patience and wrote, “We’ll get to know soon enough.” Another wrote, “If Belal wins welterweight division is dead.” A netizen said that Khabib could not beat Edwards even though they have never competed against each other. Nurmagomedov was rumored to be making a comeback for the welterweight title and he had to face Edwards, but that did not happen. One fan wrote, “Khabib can’t beat Leon either so who is he to give a game plan?”

Another fan was convinced that Muhammad would win since he was on team Khabib. They said, “With Khabib on Belal’s side, it’s going to be a hard night for Leon.” On the other hand, a follower was not so sure about Muhammad’s skills and said, “I believe it ngl but idk if Belal will be the one to implement it well enough to beat Leon.”
