Iasmin Lucindo put the women’s strawweight division on alert when she made Polyana Viana tap out. The main card fight at UFC Vegas 78 on August 12 at the UFC Apex gave rise to another star when ‘Yasmin’ turned in another skillful performance. But it was Lucindo who won the clinching contest and looked to work out a knee bar. Big hammer fights also boosted the scores as the first round came to a close.

In the second round, Lucindo came strong and hurled some big right hooks. However, the action came to a halt again when Lucindo took the fight to the ground. But when Lucindo unleashed some ground-and-pound, Viana gave her an opening. Lucindo pounced on it and finally worked out an arm triangle, which made her opponent tap.

In the post-fight interview with DC, Lucindo said, “I came complete. I came as an MMA athlete.”

With the latest win, Lucindo is sure to rise in the ranks. Meanwhile, the loss sends the UFC veteran back to the drawing board. However, the fans failed to fathom her loss.
